    Cape Town

    You'll get picked up at the airport and driven to your hotel in Cape Town. From there, the rest of the day is yours to settle in and look around at your own pace. You'll handle dinner on your own this evening.

    Cape Town

    After breakfast, you're heading to Robben Island for a shared boat tour that runs about 3.5 hours total. Your guide is a former political prisoner who'll show you Nelson Mandela's cell and share the history. Then you'll take the cable car up Table Mountain for a guided tour, come back to freshen up, and have dinner afterward.

    Cape Town

    You'll start with a drive-by tour of historical monuments, then move through the colorful Bo-Kaap quarter. The scenic Atlantic Seaboard route takes you past Clifton and Camps Bay with a stop at Maiden's Cove for views of the Twelve Apostles. Next comes Hout Bay for a 45-minute boat trip to see seals, then through Chapman's Peak. You'll explore Cape of Good Hope, have the option to hike to Cape Point, and end at Boulder's Beach to see the African Penguins.

    Stellenbosch

    You're traveling to Franschhoek to see the French Huguenot Monument and learn about the Huguenots' wine heritage. There's a stop at Drakenstein Correctional Facility where Nelson Mandela spent his final 14 months. At Fairview Wine & Cheese Farm and Marianne Wine Estate you'll do tastings, then grab a traditional South African Braai for lunch. After exploring historic Stellenbosch and the university campus, you'll head back to Cape Town.

    Cape Town to Oudtshoorn

    You're traveling overland from Cape Town to Oudtshoorn along the R62, the longest wine route in the world, passing through Africa's longest tunnel. At Graham Beck wine estate in Robertson you'll taste five MCCs (South African Champagne). Then it's a roughly 2-hour open vehicle safari at Buffelsdrift Private Game Reserve where you'll see hippos, giraffes, elands, zebras, buffalo, and springbok. You get a refreshment break at a scenic lookout with 360-degree views and views of the Swartberg Mountains.

    Oudtshoorn to Knysna

    After a relaxed breakfast, you'll head to Cango Caves for a 1-hour standard tour through the limestone ridge formations. Next is an ostrich show farm for a close-up look at these birds. Then you'll drive to Knysna, which takes 2.5-plus hours, arriving mid-afternoon with time to check out the Waterfront before settling into your accommodation.

    After breakfast, you're going to Plettenberg Bay for a whale or dolphin watching cruise with Ocean Safaris (whales show up June-November, dolphins December-May). Later you'll drive to Storms River Mouth in Tsitsikamma National Park for a thrilling 900-meter walk on the suspension bridge. Before heading back to Knysna, you'll visit Monkeyland and Birds of Eden Aviary at the Crags with guided tours.

    You'll have an early breakfast, then travel back to George to catch your flight to Johannesburg. After arriving, you're driving overland through Pretoria (South Africa's capital) to Nelspruit on the Lowveld border. There'll be comfort stops and light optional lunch breaks along the way. You'll check in at your hotel in the late afternoon and have time to relax by the garden and pool.

    You're starting at Graskop Gorge Lift where a viewing lift lowers you 51 meters down into the forest, then you walk 600 meters of wooden walkways and suspension bridges. After that it's roughly a 700-meter hike to God's Window for spectacular Lowveld and Blyde River Canyon views. You'll see Lisbon Falls (92 meters high, the tallest in Mpumalanga), walk the bridges to view the Red Frame, and finish at Three Rondavels for scenic views of the natural rock formations.

You'll ride in custom-built open vehicles spotting lions, elephants, leopards, rhinos, and buffalo along with hippos, zebras, giraffes, hornbills, eagles, secretary birds, impala, and kudu. You'll see the Hector Pietersen Memorial, Vilikazi Street, Baragwanath Hospital, and Walter Sisulu Square, ending near Orlando and FNB football stadiums. After that you'll visit Gold Reef City for an underground mine tour and a gold bar pouring demonstration. You'll be back at your airport hotel by mid-afternoon.

    After early breakfast, a shuttle takes you to OR Tambo International Airport for your 10:50 flight to Victoria Falls, arriving at 12:25 pm. You'll go through customs and get your multiple entry visa for Zimbabwe, then travel through the local township to your hotel. At 3:30 pm you'll transfer to the Zambezi River for a sunset cruise with snacks and drinks included, then head to Boma Restaurant for dinner with African entertainment before returning to your hotel.

    After early breakfast you're spending the full day in Botswana. You'll drive about an hour to the Botswana border, go through customs on both sides, and take a comfort break at the hotel. Then it's a morning open vehicle game drive in Chobe National Park with lunch included. After lunch you'll board a vessel for an afternoon river cruise on the Chobe River, which marks the border with Namibia. You're back at your hotel in Zimbabwe for an evening on your own.
