Our team worked together to offer us the best views and colors, even making some adjustments along the way. All our short stops were for rest and conveniences and beautiful photo opportunities. All our main activities were well-planned, with plenty of time to enjoy each stop, and the colors were breathtaking. I truly enjoyed this trip. Couldn't have been happier with the destinations that are included, the hotels were excellent, and the food was outstanding. They adverised that the tour starts and ends in Bogota, but it actually ends in Santa Marta, and you have to find your own way back to Bogota. I was misled into believing that the trip ends in Bogota and paid the tour in full. After you have made payment, they will send you their revise terms on what are excluded and if you are not careful. they will exclude some of the entrance fees to the attractions. They expect you to read the revised terms as they will issue a " tour voucher", whatever that means. For my case, after I protested, GUIDEcuador Travel, reinstated my admission fees but not the air ticket from Santa Marta to Bogota. You have to be careful with this deceptive travel agent. We visited Bogota and surroundings then travelled to the coffee land area where we spent few days exploring cocora valley and coffee farms. We then visited Medellin city and Guatape town , finally relaxed on the beaches of Cartagena before heading to Tayrona Park and end up the trip in Santa Marta. Overall ,excellent service and knowledgeable team. I felt like we were getting a premium, personal service throughout. I was unaware that meals other than hotel breakfast were not included and that I would have to pay the entrance fee for tourist attractions separately. Also, I was not informed that the transportation would be by a cheap taxi according to each local guide. I was aware that there would be additional charges for better accommodation, and that national park visits and itineraries could change without notice. Despite these issues, I am grateful for the opportunity to travel safely.
