Itinerary
- Day 1
Budapest
You'll arrive at Ferenc Liszt Airport and your private driver meets you for the transfer into downtown Budapest, which takes about 30 minutes. Once you check into your 4-star hotel in the city center, you can either take a walk around the neighborhood to get your bearings or settle in and rest after your travel.

Budapest
A full day guided tour covers the main sights on both sides of the city. You'll start by seeing the exterior of the Hungarian Parliament Building, then move through the Opera House, Heroes' Square, and City Park. After that, head to Saint Stephen's Basilica where you can climb to the top for views across Budapest. Cross over to Buda to see the Liberty Statue and ride the Castle Funicular. Grab lunch in the Castle district with some free time to wander, then finish with a one-hour boat cruise on the Danube River and a drink in the evening.

Budapest to Eger
The drive to Eger takes roughly 2 hours, and this wine town is known for its baroque buildings and a hilltop castle. A guided tour includes the castle interior, the Minaret, and the Cathedral facing the main square. You'll have lunch at Valley of the Beautiful Women with local wine tasting, followed by stops at a few wine cellars to sample more. The night is yours to explore Eger further if you'd like, and you'll stay overnight there.

Eger to Budapest via Godollo
Heading back to Budapest takes about 2 hours from Eger, but you'll stop in Godollo along the way, roughly one hour from where you started. There you'll tour Godollo Palace, the former summer home of Queen Elisabeth and Emperor Francis Joseph, with a guide explaining the Austro-Hungarian history inside. Lunch happens at the old royal palace before you continue on to Budapest, arriving as the sun sets.

Budapest Departure
