- CMColleen· October 23rd, 2022Epos Travel and Tours, a family owned and operated tour company, provided a wonderful tour of the Peloponnese Region of Greece for my husband and me. We visited ancient ruins, Byzantine sites, temples, churches, beaches, mountain villages, caves and historic towns. Our guides were all professional, warm and happy to answer any and all questions we had, and the extensive knowledge of Greek mythology, history and modern events they shared with us, made this a trip of lifetime. They chose restaurants and food that was unique to each region we visited - all delicious, fresh and more than enough to fill us up. We also took a detour to Aegina Island, which was not on the original itinerary, where we stayed in their cottage for a few days exploring the area. This island is filled with its own history, ancient ruins, Byzantine churches, beaches, 2000 year old olive trees, and lovely beaches. We highly recommend this tour and a visit to Aegina Island, to anyone who wants to explore Greece.Show moreTrip date: October 2022
- CHChristine· September 9th, 2022From start to finish we were looked after superbly by Epos Travel. At the start of the tour, they came to greet us from our hotel and at the end of the tour saw us safely back into our next accommodation. The tour was well devised and offered a good balance of the rich historical legacy of Ancient Greece and also introduced us to some wonderful natural sites of great beauty. The Peloponnese region is very diverse and we enjoyed charming seaside bays, towering mountains, shady forests and gorges. The hospitality was second to none, we had gastronomic lunches where our hosts encouraged us to try a wide variety of food and wine. Our guide and driver were very thoughtful, they generously shared their knowledge of Greece , both ancient and modern. They altered the itinerary to match our energy levels but made sure we missed nothing. Epos is a family business and they make you feel part of the family. Some of the visits are on ( for us, as senior citizens) challenging paths. We were helped, when we needed an extra bit of support, on some sections. We always got to our destination! Nothing was too much trouble from supplying cold water just when you needed it or fitting in a quick coffee en route. The tour offers a very full itinerary which helps you see a different aspect of Greece. The days were full and we stayed in a variety of hotels, from small family run places in the mountains to more international ones in the larger towns. Our care and comfort was always checked to see that we were happy with everything. We really can’t find enough superlatives to say how fantastic it was. We would thoroughly recommend Epos to anyone interested in discovering the area. Two very satisfied guests, Christine and Edward HammondsShow moreTrip date: August 2022
- TCTheresa· May 21st, 2022This tour allowed us to see and learn about the many ancient sites in Greece. This beautiful country is rich with history, our tour guide George, had a wealth of information on the history. We went to many areas of Greece that were hidden Gems. Our driver, also named George was fun and we enjoyed the beauty of Greece. All the food and accommodations were wonderful and we loved exploring the caves and river rafting. We would highly recommend Epos tours and travel.Show moreTrip date: May 2022
- BBeckyW· October 7th, 2019We recently completed the 10-day tour “Tracing the Steps of Hercules in the Peloponnese”; it was a truly wonderful adventure. We made stops at most of the legendry locations for Hercules’ 12 Labors. But in addition to that we experienced the many famous and little known sites in the Peloponnese of multiple eras: from the time of Homer to the powerful kings of Mycenae to isolated monasteries from the Byzantine age and up into the influences of the Venetians only 200 years ago. It was the diversity in both sites and activities that kept the trip lively and fulfilling. Our days were loaded: in the morning we might visit a ruin and museum, have a leisurely lunch at a beach taking in a swim and then off to another site, ending the day at one of a number pleasant towns. We traveled from the sea to the mountains, from ancient to not quite as old, from small cities to tiny villages and from touristy to remote. Some of the roads, I know, I would never have found (much less driven) and thus missed the unique experience around it’s corner. We had special treats of wine tasting, hidden beaches, old olive press techniques and homage to the little known Temple of Hercules. Thank you George and company for providing us such a well-rounded and fun filled trip.Show moreEpos Travel & Tours commented on this reviewThank you very much Becky for this welcome exciting review which makes me really happy. Asked on March 7th, 2025Could you kindly confirm if this departure is guaranteed? Is there is still availability for 1 solo traveler in a single room? Could you kindly confirm the cost for 1 night pre accommodation in Athens, from April 6th to April 7th, and for 1 night post accommodation, from April 16th to April 17th? How many travelers are already booked for this particular departure? What is the group size? Could you kindly confirm that all the visits to the archeologic sights are with an expert guide? What would be the cost for the entrance fee for the museum and sights mentioned in the itinerary?
- Epos Travel & ToursOperator•Written March 2025
The first guaranteed departure for this tour is 2 May 2025. The cost for a single room in Athens in May ranges from 90 to 300 Euro (or more) depending on the quality of the hotel and some other factors (location etc). The visits in the archaeological sites are without a licensed guide. You have a lot of information about the sites and the monuments before entering the site though. Nor the cost of the entrance fees is including in the price of the tour. This cost is 12 Euro for each site, except for the Acropolis where it is higher and costs 30 Euro.

Asked on August 2nd, 2024We are interested in your "Tracing the steps of Hercules 10 days(Tour 114912), or similar. We don't wish to have to race to a bus early every morning and travel large kms. We are Australians in our late sixties, happy with a group size up to 20 people. Our budget is up to 240 Euros per day per person. We will already be in Athens, and already visited the Athens city tourist sites. We have a window to do the tour between Tuesday 6 May and Sunday 18 May 2025. We are joining a Greek Island tour on Moday 19 May, Is there a tour to fit with the above.
- Epos Travel & ToursOperator•Written August 2024
Our groups are up to 6 people, making the experience more private and flexible! We can set a departure on May 6 or 7 if interested. The cost of the tour is 285 euros per person per day but with rich inclusions and great meals!
