Itinerary
- Day 1
Batemans Bay
Hotel pickup happens at 7:30am, then you're transferred to the southern end of the park. The morning involves hiking through forested trails with cliff-top views, which is ideal for whale watching if you're visiting between June and November. You'll walk across several beaches connected by trails: North Head, Honeysuckle, Myrtle, Oakey, and Richmond. The terrain involves rising over headlands and dropping onto sandy shores. After lunch, the afternoon focuses on exploring the Sydney Sandstone basin to see its varied rock layers and coves. By late afternoon you'll arrive at your beachfront cabin, settle in with afternoon tea, and have dinner at the onsite restaurant.

Depot Beach
Following breakfast, a vehicle transfer gets you to Cookies Beach where hiking begins. There's a short rock scramble to navigate, then you'll continue on the long open stretch of Durras Main Beach where dolphins occasionally show up in the surf. You'll wade through Durras Lake, which may be open or closed depending on water conditions. From there, head inland over Point Upright, a dominant sea cliff with optional side hikes if you want extra Pacific views. The hike concludes at Depot Beach, a former loggers' camp now turned holiday spot. The afternoon is yours to explore this area where tame kangaroos hang around and birdlife is really impressive. Snorkeling or beach fishing are available if you're interested in either activity.

Batemans Bay
After breakfast, you hike to Pebbly Beach where resident kangaroos are known to lounge right on the sand. The trail winds over ridges and down to beaches where creeks flow into the ocean. Durras Mountain, the largest around here, creates a watershed and contains pockets of rainforest. The day offers ocean views and distinctive rock platforms. There's an optional steep hike to the mountain summit if you want the extra challenge. After lunch, you continue exploring before finishing at Pretty Beach, known for its white sand and rainforest setting near the National Parks office. Transport takes you back to your Batemans Bay hotel around 3pm. An optional post-tour dinner at local restaurants is available if you'd like to join your group.
