Itinerary
- Day 1
Nakitoma to Murchison Falls National Park
Start with an early pickup from your hotel heading to Murchison Falls National Park. You can choose to stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to track rhinos on the way if interested. Once at the park, head to the top of Murchison Falls where you'll see the Nile squeeze through a narrow 7m gorge before dropping 43m into what's called the devil's cauldron. After checking in at your lodge, dinner and an overnight stay follow.

- Day 2
Murchison Falls National Park
This morning starts early with a game drive where you might spot lions, buffaloes, waterbuck, Jackson's hartebeest, Rothschild's giraffe, and oribi. You'll head back to the lodge for lunch and rest a bit. In the afternoon, take a boat cruise on the river to see hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, and water birds including the shoebill stork. Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner.

Murchison Falls to Kibale National Park
After breakfast, you'll start driving toward Kibale National Park. The route takes you through the Albertan Escarpment where you get dramatic views of Lake Albert, traditional homesteads, and the Mountains of the Moon. You'll arrive in Fort Portal by evening for dinner and overnight accommodation.

Kibale National Park
This morning involves chimpanzee tracking near Kanyanchu where you'll observe chimps in their communities and learn about their behavior from your guides. You might also spot other primates like golden monkeys, olive baboons, red colobus, and blue monkeys. The afternoon brings a guided walk through Bigodi village with an English-speaking guide. You'll visit a traditional healer, elderly residents' homes, the school, church, and trading center to learn about local traditions. Plan on about 3 to 4 hours for this walk depending on your group's pace.

Kibale to Queen Elizabeth National Park
The drive today takes you to Queen Elizabeth National Park at the base of Mountain Rwenzori. Along the way, you'll likely see various wild animals and birds since the park is home to roughly 100 mammal species and 606 bird species.

- Day 6
Queen Elizabeth National Park
Start early with a game drive in the Kasenyi plains where you might see bushbuck, Uganda kob, topi, Defassa waterbuck, cape buffaloes, lions, and elephants. Return for a late breakfast, then you have time to relax before lunch. Afterward, a boat ride along Kazinga Channel lets you watch hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, and birds like red-chested birds, papyrus gonolek, pink-backed pelicans, malachite kingfishers, and shoebills. Evening brings dinner back at the lodge.

Queen Elizabeth National Park to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After a substantial breakfast, you'll drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park which houses about half of the world's endangered mountain gorillas. The drive includes a scenic route with a game drive through Ishasha sector where you might see tree-climbing lions. You'll have lunch during the journey and arrive in the evening for dinner and overnight.

- Day 8
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Following breakfast, you'll transfer to the starting point where experienced trackers will brief you on gorilla trekking. You'll hike on the volcano slopes starting from where gorillas were found the previous day. The trek can be physically taxing but offers remarkable encounters with the gorilla forest and its wildlife. After trekking, you'll transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for some relaxation and recovery.

Lake Bunyonyi to Entebbe
Start with an early breakfast, then transfer to Entebbe for your flight home. On the way, stop at the Equator for photos and to try the polar-water experiment, then visit local community craft shops and fruit markets. You'll arrive in Entebbe by evening just before your flight.
