Itinerary
- Day 1
Entebbe/Kampala to Bwindi
You'll get picked up from your hotel in Entebbe or Kampala for the drive to Bwindi National Park. The route takes you through some interesting territory, and there's a stop at the equator for photos. Lunch happens in Mbarara along the way, then you continue on to Kabale and arrive at Bwindi as evening sets in.

- Day 2
Bwindi to Lake Bunyonyi
Head to the park headquarters early for a 7am briefing, then tracking starts at 8:30am to search for mountain gorillas. The hike can range from 1 to 6 hours depending on where the gorillas are that day. When you find them, you get a full hour to watch and take photos. After you return and have some refreshment, the afternoon involves driving to Lake Bunyonyi for dinner and the night.

Lake Bunyonyi to Fort Portal
Sleep in a bit and have a relaxed breakfast in the morning. Then you'll transfer to Fort Portal, which gives you time to settle in for an overnight stay.

- Day 4
Fort Portal to Murchison Falls
After breakfast, you'll be picked up at 7am and head into Murchison Falls National Park. The main event is visiting the top of the falls to see the Nile push through a 7-meter gorge with real power and noise. From there you'll drive to your lodge, where dinner and an overnight stay follow.

- Day 5
Murchison Falls National Park
Early on you'll cross by ferry to reach the northern section of the park for a game drive. Look out for giraffes, elephants, buffalo, lions, leopards, bushbucks, and gazelles. Return to the lodge for lunch and some downtime. At 2pm you'll take a boat up the River Nile toward the bottom of the falls, spotting hippos, crocodiles, and various bird species along the way. You'll be back at the lodge by 4pm for dinner.

Murchison Falls to Budongo Forest to Entebbe
Check out early and head to Budongo Forest for chimpanzee tracking. After a briefing from the park warden, you'll enter the forest for tracking that usually takes 1 to 3 hours, with a maximum one hour to spend with the chimpanzees. After that, the drive back to Entebbe starts, passing through Kampala, and you'll arrive in the evening to check in for your departure flight.
