Itinerary
- Day 1
Hotel to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Your guide picks you up at 7am from your hotel for the drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You'll stop at the equator for photos and a quick experiment, then break for lunch in Mbarara. Driving through the Kabale region (which locals call the 'Switzerland of Africa'), you'll arrive in the evening and get settled in before tomorrow's gorilla trekking.

Gorilla Trekking
Breakfast comes at 6am, then you'll head to park headquarters by 7am for a briefing with the senior ranger. The trek takes you through thick vegetation, hiking up and down slopes as you track mountain gorillas and listen for their vocal calls. You're guaranteed an hour observing and photographing them in their natural setting. Back at the lodge after freshening up, you can choose an evening cultural walk with the Batwa community and local villages if you'd like.

Bwindi to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After early breakfast, you'll drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park via Ishasha in the southern sector, where tree-climbing lions and antelopes like kobs and gazelles roam. Lunch happens when you arrive, then at 4pm you'll take a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel between Lakes George and Edward. The water brings you close to crocodiles, hippos, buffalos, elephants, and birds like pelicans and African fish eagles. An evening game drive follows before dinner.

Queen Elizabeth National Park to Entebbe and Kampala
After early morning coffee, you'll drive to Kalinzu Forest for chimpanzee tracking. You'll see other primates including baboons, vervet monkeys, and black and white colobus monkeys during the trek. From there, you head back toward Entebbe with a lunch stop in Mbarara, then continue on to Kampala, arriving late in the evening.
