- JDJune· August 20th, 2023The trekking was fabulous and we were well looked after by David our tour guide. The scenery is simply beautiful and life in the mountains challenging for both the locals and trekkers. To experience mountain life first hand is a real privilege and added bonus to this tour. If you are looking for natural mountain beauty, some challenging trekking terrain and a tour company to support you on your trekking journey, I'd recommend this tour.Show moreUnu Raymi Expeditions commented on this reviewHi June, many thanks for your review and comments :) We're delighted we could organise this trek route for you and that you had a great time on this stunning route. Asked on July 22nd, 2024What do you need to bring? Is a sleeping bag included? Are hiking poles included? How difficult is the track? Do you need hiking booths or can you do it on running shoes? Can I have a tent for myself, without sharing with other guests? Can I have a free cancelation option in case I cannot make it on time to Huaraz, or in case I am injured and cannot hike in the mountains? Where is the meeting/end point in Huaraz?
- Unu Raymi ExpeditionsOperator•Written July 2024
October through to February we won't be operating the Huayhuash trek route due to the rainy season. We can operate a trek for you at slightly lower altitude in the Cusco region, let me know if this is something that would suit your trip plans.

Asked on April 15th, 2022Any availability for three travelers on May 13-20th? Thanks!
- Unu Raymi ExpeditionsOperator•Written April 2022
Yes we can operate this route for you in May for your group. If you're not experienced at altitude (+4,000-5,000m), I would really recommend you arrive a couple of days beforehand to Huaraz and do some afternoon treks to properly acclimate and prepare the trek route.

Traveler•Written April 2022So the dates would be May 17-20 for 4 days/3 nights. We are interested in the mini Huayhuash trek (not the Santa Cruz trek). And we arrive on the 14th and have plans to do three acclimation hikes around Huaraz before the trip. Plus we live in Utah, USA, around 1,200 m (but often recreate at 2-2,500m elevation). Does that sound ok?
- Unu Raymi ExpeditionsOperator•Written April 2022
It will be important to acclimate properly. You will probably find being at 4,000m a slightly different proposition to 2,500m but with a few days at altitude you'll be ready to go on the trek route. I will create a booking form for your group of 3, and once you make a deposit payment we'll begin planning the trek resources asap!

Asked on January 11th, 2022What tours do you have for 1/24 - 1/31?
- Unu Raymi ExpeditionsOperator•Written January 2022
Unfortunately for the month of January we don't have any group tours booked in yet for the Huayhuash, Huaraz. Peak season for Huaraz is April - September. As per your other enquiry, for trekking Cusco is much better in my opinion. It is far more cultural, friendly and offers some great trekking.
