This trek is perfect for those looking for a tour that includes a variety of activities: we rafted the rapids of the Rio Sagrado, biked and zip-lined, but still hiked for 8 to 4 hours a day. This tour is ideal for those who don't particularly want to climb in altitude. Our guide adapted perfectly to our needs, and gave us plenty of insight into the Inca way of life and culture along the way. As for Machu Picchu, he gave us all the knowledge we needed to understand the site. We also chose to climb the Huayana Picchu, a small summit next door, which is well worth the detour. His English was amazing and he was very fun to be around, made jokes and conversation with us, was super friendly with everyone, and was way better a guide than any of the other tour groups had. Our trip was made way better because Saul was THAT great. Everything was so well coordinated and it's exactly why we booked an all inclusive tour.
