Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Cairo

    You'll arrive in Cairo and connect with your team at the airport for the drive to Cairo Paradise Hotel, where you'll have great views of the pyramids from your room. This evening you head out to catch the Sound & Light show at the Pyramids, which is a nice way to get oriented with the monuments on your first night.

  2. Day 2

    Cairo

    Start the day on the Giza Plateau, walking through the ancient pyramids of Mycerinus, Chefren, and the Great Pyramid of Cheops. You'll go inside one of them to see what the interior looks like. After that, you'll ride a camel around like a local, then check out the Solar Boat Museum to see Cheops' funerary boat and get a close look at the Great Sphinx. Grab lunch and head back to the hotel where you'll have time to relax for the rest of the afternoon.

  3. Day 3

    Cairo to Luxor

    Fly to Luxor and start with the Temple of Karnak, walking through the impressive Great Hypostyle Hall with all those massive columns. Board the Sanctuary 'Sun Boat IV' for lunch while you're on the Nile. In the afternoon you'll explore the west bank and check out the Necropolis of Thebes, see the Valley of the Kings including Tutankhamun's tomb, visit the Valley of the Queens, and walk through the Temple of Hatshepsut. You'll spend the night at Thebes Hotel.

  4. Day 4

    Luxor

    Cruise north on the Nile along a quiet route away from the crowds, heading to the Temple of Hathor at Denderah before sailing back to Luxor. Later in the afternoon you'll visit the east bank and see the striking Temple of Luxor, then return to Thebes Hotel for another night.

  5. Day 5

    Luxor

    Continue your cruise to Edfu and the Temple of Horus. During the morning you'll join your chef on board for a local cooking lesson to learn about Egyptian food and techniques. After that you'll stop at Kom Ombo to visit the Greco-Roman temple that was built for both Haroeris the sun god and Sobek the crocodile god, then sail back to Thebes Hotel.

  6. Day 6

    Luxor to Aswan

    After breakfast, cruise to Aswan and take a motorized boat out to Philae Temple on Agilika island, a temple that was actually moved to this spot to protect it from flood damage. You'll have lunch with locals so you can try real Egyptian cuisine and hear their stories. From there you'll visit the granite quarries and see the Unfinished Obelisk, then sail among the Aswan islands by felucca if the weather cooperates. Back to Thebes Hotel for the night.

    After breakfast you'll fly to Abu Simbel to see the twin temples of Ramses II and Queen Nefertari carved right into the rock face. Have lunch at a local restaurant, then fly back to Cairo for a relaxing evening at Eskaleh Nubian Ecolodge.

    Cairo

    Spend time at the Museum of Egyptian Antiquities exploring the largest collection of ancient Egyptian artifacts, including treasures from Tutankhamun and artifacts that go back 4000 years. You'll enter the Mummy Room to see the remains of ancient pharaohs and nobility like Ramses II. After lunch, walk from Bab el-Fotouh through Khan el-Khalili Bazaar where you can browse spices, leather goods, jewelry, and all sorts of other items. Later you'll explore the Mosque and Madrasa of Sultan Hassan built in 1356, which is an important example of early Mamluk architecture.

    After breakfast at 9am, drive to Saqqara, which has hundreds of tombs and 14 pyramids scattered across the site, including the famous Step Pyramid of Djoser that stands 204 feet tall. Have lunch at a local restaurant there, then continue on to Memphis, the ancient capital that's now an open-air museum. You'll see the giant statue of Ramses II among the ruins. Spend the night at Eskaleh Nubian Ecolodge.

    Thank you for arranging personalized tour. Overall, all the family members had good experience and fun especially the helpful tour guides and excellent accommodations but some of the arrangements didn’t reach our expectations like having to pay the meals and missing tour even though they should have been included and meeting time. Other than those, we had wonderful time! Thank you

The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 100 days prior to the departure date of your tour.
