Itinerary
- Day 1
Kathmandu to Chisapani
Start with breakfast at your hotel, then drive about an hour to Sundarijal. From there you'll begin hiking into Shivapuri National Park with your entrance permit already included. The trail gradually climbs through jungle terrain to the village of Mulkharka, where you can grab lunch or pick up snacks. After that, you'll continue on stone-paved stairs through the forest and reach Chisapani, a viewpoint known for sunrise views of peaks like Gaurisankar, Ganesh Himal, and Dorje Lakpa.

Chisapani to Nagarkot
Trek from Chisapani to Nagarkot, a popular hill station at 2,175 meters. On clear days you can see five of the world's tallest mountains including Everest, Lhotse, Cho Oyu, Makalu, and Manaslu. Once you arrive at your Nagarkot hotel, breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included, so you'll be taken care of for the day.

Nagarkot to Changu Narayan to Kathmandu
After watching the sunrise over the Himalayan range, trek 4 hours downhill toward Changunarayan Temple. You'll pass through local villages and pine and rhododendron forests, with chances to see temples and catch views of Bhaktapur, Sankhu, and the Kathmandu valley. The hike brings you to Changu Narayan, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and important shrine to Vishnu. From there, return to Kathmandu by way of Bhaktapur Darbar Square, another UNESCO World Heritage Site.
