Itinerary
- Day 1
Glasgow
Your tour starts at 2:30 PM when you head out from your hotel for a panoramic drive around Glasgow. You'll see George Square, Kelvingrove Park, the cathedral, and the university - places you might recognize from 'Outlander.' The group gets a welcome drink together, then the rest of the evening is free so you can explore the city and find dinner wherever you'd like.

Glasgow
Today you're heading to Stirling Castle, the stronghold where Scottish kings and queens including Mary, Queen of Scots spent their childhoods. After that, you'll stop at Glengoyne Distillery to try a dram and learn how they've been making whisky for two centuries. You'll return to Glasgow with the evening to yourself.

Glasgow to Loch Alsh
You're traveling into the Scottish Highlands today, driving along Loch Lomond and across Rannoch Moor before reaching Glencoe. There are stops for photos along the way, then you'll continue to Eilean Donan Castle before arriving at your hotel on Loch Alsh's shore.

You'll spend the full day on the Isle of Skye, which once served as a refuge for Bonnie Prince Charlie. Stop at Dunvegan Castle, Scotland's oldest continuously inhabited castle, then head to the Trotternish Peninsula. You'll see Kilt Rock with its 200-foot sea cliffs and dramatic basalt columns, visit Flora MacDonald's grave in Kilmuir Graveyard, and have free time to walk around Portree.

You're taking a cruise on Loch Ness where the legendary monster supposedly lives, and you'll get mountain scenery and photo chances throughout. After that, you drive along Cairngorms National Park's edge to reach a working farm for a sheepdogging demonstration - watching skilled dogs help the farmer herd the flock. Dinner's at your hotel this evening.

Start at Culloden Battlefield Visitor Centre to understand how British forces defeated Bonnie Prince Charlie's army during the Jacobite Rising. From there, you'll go to Aberdeenshire to see Fyvie Castle, Garden and Estate, where 800 years of history and an impressive collection of art, arms, and armor await - all gathered by a local entrepreneur who made his fortune in American steel. You'll dine at your manor-house hotel near Aberdeen tonight.

Dundee - St Andrews - Edinburgh
You're heading to Glamis Castle, the legendary setting from Shakespeare's 'Macbeth' and the childhood home of the late Queen Mother. The castle is filled with priceless artifacts and furnishings. Later, you'll take a panoramic drive through Dundee to see its transformed waterfront and impressive architecture. Continue to St Andrews, famous as the home of golf and rich in medieval history, for a panoramic drive and time to explore on your own. Then it's off to your hotel near Edinburgh with a free evening for independent dining.

Edinburgh
In Edinburgh, you'll see how medieval townhouses on the Royal Mile contrast with the Georgian mansions of the New Town built 200 years ago. Tour the Palace of Holyroodhouse, the King's official Scottish residence, and walk through majestically furnished chambers. Visit Edinburgh Castle to see the Scottish Crown Jewels and take in views of the city. This evening you'll have a Scottish farewell dinner with traditional entertainment (or if you're departing July 30 - August 20, you'll dine independently then attend The Royal Military Edinburgh Tattoo).
