Marrakech
You'll land in Marrakech and get settled into your place. The rest of the day is yours to wander around the city and get a feel for things before you sleep. It's a good chance to grab some food, walk the streets, or just relax after traveling.

Marrakech
A local guide takes you through Marrakech's main sites during the morning and early afternoon. You'll see Bahia Palace, the Saadian Tombs, Koutoubia Mosque, and Jamaa El Fna square. After that tour wraps up, the rest of the day is open for you to check out whatever else caught your interest or grab lunch somewhere you find. Then you'll head back for the night.

Marrakech to Boumalne Dades
Your driver picks you up and heads into the High Atlas Mountains, stopping through small Berber villages along the way. Ait Ben Haddou is next, a 17th-century fortress (UNESCO-protected) that's been in movies like Lawrence of Arabia. You'll grab lunch nearby, then walk around Kasbah Taourirt before driving through the Valley of Roses to Boumalne Dades. Dinner and your bed are in Boumalne Dades.

Boumalne Dades to Merzouga
After eating breakfast, you head to Todra Gorge near Tinghir to take in the canyon views. From there the drive continues through desert towns like Erfoud and Rissani. By the time you reach the edge of Merzouga desert, you'll have some traditional mint tea and then spend two hours on a camel trek out to the camp. Dinner, a campfire, and local music are waiting once the sun goes down.

Landmarks Todra Gorge Merzouga - Day 5
Merzouga to Fes
After breakfast you drive from Merzouga toward Fes, passing through the Ziz Valley and stopping in Midelt. The route then goes through cedar forests where Barbary macaques live, and through Ifran with its unusual alpine-style buildings. You'll pull into your accommodation in Fez by early evening, so there's time to settle in before dinner.
