You'll land at Kigali International Airport where your driver and guide will meet you. After handling arrival procedures, they'll take you to Great Apartment Hotel for your first night. It's a straightforward transfer to get settled in before your tour officially begins.

- Day 2
Kigali
Start the day at the Kigali Genocide Memorial, where you'll learn about Rwanda's history through personal accounts and photographs. Next, you'll walk through a local community to see how Rwandan cultural products connect to the country's recovery process. Later, tour the city center to understand Rwanda's economic growth and why it's considered Africa's cleanest country.

Landmarks Kigali Genocide Memorial - Day 3
Akagera National Park
Early start with a 2-hour drive to Akagera National Park for full game drives. You'll look for the Big Five including buffaloes, elephants, giraffes, rhinos, and hippos, plus zebras and big cats. Around midday, stop at hippo beach for lunch, then continue driving until 4-5pm before heading back to Kigali.

- Day 4
Nyungwe Forest National Park
Head out early toward Nyungwe Forest National Park. You'll stop at the King Museum Palace to watch Intore dancers perform traditional royal ceremonies. Lunch happens in Butare, the former capital city. By evening, you'll be at Gisakura Guest House to rest and relax.

- Day 5
Lake Kivu
Wake up around 5am for a chimpanzee trek at Cyamudongo to see these primates in the forest. Later, drive through the Lake Kivu belt road to Karongi for lunch and a break. Spend the afternoon on the lake with kayaking, canoeing, or a boat ride to see the islands. You'll stay at Holidays Hotel right on the shore.

Lake Kivu to Musanze
Early morning boat trip on Lake Kivu to watch local fishermen using traditional methods, including fishing for sambaza, a small fish that's a protein staple in the region. After lunch, drive toward Musanze through the Congo Nile crest and check in at Red Rocks Rwanda, a traditional Rwandan village in the countryside.

Landmarks Lake Kivu Congo Nile Crest - Day 7
Iby'Iwacu Cultural Village
After breakfast, spend the day at Iby'Iwacu Cultural Village learning about Rwandan life. You'll see local factories, try traditional food, and watch village dancers perform the Intore warrior dance with jumps reaching over 2.4m high. Learn about traditional weddings and Rwandan customs, then finish with transfer to the airport or your hotel.
