- SSSanjeev· October 17th, 2025We booked a 6-day private tour in Jordan for two people, expecting a smooth and flexible experience. Unfortunately, it turned out to be one of the most disappointing trips (as far as the interface with this company was concerned) we’ve ever had. The people of Jordan were very nice, very pleasant and we enjoyed visiting the sites but the tour company made us feel like prisoners. No Visa Assistance (Despite Assurances) Although the company had promised someone would help us with our visa at the airport, no one showed up. Luckily, we had already bought the Jordan Pass, so we managed on our own. The driver was present at the exit, as promised — but that was about the only thing that went right. Last-Minute Hotel Switch Initially, they confirmed a hotel in Wadi Musa close to Petra. However, in the final itinerary, this was quietly changed to Zaman Hyat, which is 17 km away. This meant we couldn’t enjoy Petra town or do any local shopping in the evenings. Rigid and Over-Charged Itinerary Changes When we wanted to include a short detour to Aqaba (only about 50 km extra), they immediately demanded $50 more. On a private 6-day tour, some flexibility should be normal — but with this company, every small change meant another charge. Driver’s Behaviour & Commission Traps In Aqaba, the driver, Khaled, wouldn’t let us talk directly to any boat operators. He arranged a trip through a “friend” who charged 80 JOD, while we later found out it should have cost only 40 JOD total. To make matters worse, the driver even came along on the boat! It felt exploitative and uncomfortable. Forcing Tourist Traps Over Local Experiences On the route to Madaba and Mount Nebo, Khaled tried to skip the sightseeing and take us straight to the Dead Sea hotel. Only after we complained to Mohannat (the coordinator) did he follow the agreed itinerary. Even then, he took us to “factory shops” where prices were 10x higher than in local markets. Constant Pressure and Hidden Charges The driver repeatedly refused to stop at local markets or malls, only taking us to overpriced tourist stores. Later, Mohannat messaged that if we visited Jerash, Ajloun, and Umm Qais on the same day, we’d be charged another $100. Because of this confusion, we rushed through Jerash and missed major sites like the Temple of Artemis. No Flexibility – Even at the End On the last day, we simply wanted to stop at Rainbow Street for an hour to enjoy local food. Mohannat asked for $35 extra per hour — completely unreasonable for a private tour where flexibility is supposed to be the point. Refund Insult By the final day, we were so frustrated that we refused the airport drop. The company offered just $10 refund, despite saving several hours of the driver’s time — an insult after all the inconvenience. Summary This company operates with dishonesty, inflexibility, and hidden costs at every turn. Our “private tour” felt like being held hostage by a driver more interested in commissions than customer satisfaction.Show more Trip500 commented on this reviewDear Mr. Sanjeev, Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. - KKatrin· July 14th, 2025Automatic translation available in English. View in EnglishThe arrangements with the provider are uncomplicated and very friendly. In addition, everything was arranged to my satisfaction as far as possible. As I had already arrived in Jordan, I was picked up from my hotel without any problems or discussions. My wish to do the entire tour with a driver was also granted without any problems. I can definitely recommend the provider. I would suggest adding a few more recommendations for excursions to the program. The driver was absolutely great and really helped us to get even more out of our vacation. My absolute highlight was the balloon flight in Wadi Rum. I'll take home fond memories and I'm glad I didn't cancel the vacation. The situation in Jordan is very peaceful and you feel safe and everything is relaxed and I had a great timeShow moreTrip date: July 2025
- RLRudee· February 15th, 2025Our tour guide, Gabrielle, was amazing! His deep historical knowledge took us back in time as we explored Petra, Wadi Rum, Jerash, Amman, and the Dead Sea. April· October 3rd, 2024We did get to see the highlights of the country. I really appreciated that. The hotel in Amman was much lower quality than the hotels in Petra and Wadi Rum. The hotel was poorly run. The food was terrible, the location is not good, and our last night there my room was only half cleaned, I had no towels when I checked in at 7pm, the door was open with all the lights on, the a/c did not work and the front desk often did not know what was going on because they didn’t seem to communicate with their colleagues. I also paid extra for an “upgraded” hotel, but it was worse quality than the one included. The ceramic on the shower was ruined and it was a hole in the floor, also no door to the bathroom, but pictures from the included hotel appeared much better quality. There was also poor communication from our tour guide about where to meet, he would often pick a meeting point, but then half the group would be at the meeting point, but then he would be waiting at the bus. Our “upgraded” hotel was also extremely far from the included hotel, but we were told we would depart at 730, then the hotel said they had no departures until 8 (it was about a 10 min ride through the desert to get to the hotel), but were supposed to depart at 8. The hotel asked us to show them our contract stating 8am agreement. But besides our communication issues, our guide was friendly, knowledgeable about the history, and a great photographer!Show more April· October 3rd, 2024We did get to see the highlights of the country. What our customers ask about this tour
The content in our FAQ section is subject to change.- CCourtney Asked on September 16th, 2025Could you please let us know which entrance fees are included and which are not included for our mutual travelers? Trip500Operator•Written September 2025 Trip500Operator•Written September 2025- Entrance fees to all sites are not included in this package. We highly recommend that travelers purchase the Jordan Pass, which conveniently covers all major entrance fees (including Petra, Jerash, Wadi Rum, and more) as well as the Jordan visa fee upon arrival. Jordan Pass price: £72 GBP per person.

- CChristine Asked on August 16th, 2025Would we be collected from the airport at this time and be staying at Amman West Hotel until later that day when the tour begins, and also overnight Tuesday 10th into Wednesday 11th February as per the itinerary? Due to our unusual arrival time, we want to enquire if there will be an extra cost for the early check in/extra night at Amman West Hotel on Tuesday 10th, and if this is something that can be arranged by yourselves? Trip500Operator•Written August 2025 Trip500Operator•Written August 2025- Yes, of course, we can arrange for your private airport pick-up at 00:15 am on Tuesday, 10th February, and transfer you directly to the Amman West Hotel this is included in the package. The regular pre-night supplement at Amman West Hotel is 50 USD per person (100 USD total). However, as a special gesture, we would be happy to offer you a 50% discount, so you would only pay 25 USD per person (50 USD total) for the early check-in. This amount can be settled upon arrival or during the tour.

- SSandra Traveler•Written December 2024What are the names of the 5 star hotels? That is the difference between Bedoiun Tent and the bubble tent? Are there any tents with a private bathroom?
Trip500Operator•Written December 2024 Trip500Operator•Written December 2024- All tents in Wadi Rum are fully equipped, with private bathroom and Ac and Electricity. The main difference between a Bedouin tent and a bubble tent lies in their design, ambiance, and purpose: Bedouin Tent is traditional and authentic, reflecting nomadic lifestyle. Bubble Tent is more modern and luxurious, made from transparent materials, allowing uninterrupted view of surroundings, especially stars at night.
