Venice
Your first day starts at San Marco Square, where you'll get a real sense of the city's center and what makes it so significant. From there, head into the Doge's Palace to see the secret corridors and learn about the decisions made within those walls. Later in the afternoon, make your way to the Rialto Bridge and spend time looking out over the Grand Canal before you wrap up.

Then visit the Basilica Santa Maria Gloriosa dei Frari, where you can see the architecture and artworks inside. The church holds significant pieces and the tombs of important historical figures.

Venice
Spend the day at the Scuola Grande di San Rocco checking out the collection of paintings and the decorated spaces. After you finish there, as evening comes around, you'll take a gondola through the canals. This is when the city really shows a different side, and the ride gives you a unique way to see how people actually move around Venice.

Venice to Murano
On your last day, take a trip out to Murano, which sits just off the main island. You'll watch glassmakers working with the traditional methods they've used for centuries, transforming hot glass into finished pieces. The island itself is made up of smaller sections connected by bridges, and the glass tradition is what it's known for throughout the region.
