Itinerary
- Day 1
Melbourne to Lake Mountain Alpine Resort
Drive north from Melbourne for about 90 minutes to reach Lake Mountain Alpine Resort. Once there, you'll have a solid 3 hours to get into the snow, whether that's tobogganing down slopes, trying cross-country skiing, doing snowshoe walks, or hiking up to the summit for views across the snowy landscape. After lunch, head out to Steavenson Falls, which is one of Victoria's tallest waterfalls and worth the walk to see in person. On the way back toward Melbourne through Yarra Valley, stop at a chocolate factory to taste handcrafted chocolates and take in vineyard views from the property.
