Itinerary
- Day 1
Vientiane
You'll land in Vientiane and head to your hotel to get settled in. Once you've checked in, the afternoon opens up for exploring the city's key religious and historical sites with a guide. You'll see Wat Sisaket, which contains thousands of Buddha statues throughout its grounds, then move on to Wat Ho Prakeo to check out its art collection. After that, the sacred That Luang Stupa and the Patouxay monument round out the day's sightseeing.

- Day 2
Nam Ngum Lake
After eating breakfast, you'll start at Vientiane's Morning Market before heading north on road No. 10 toward Nam Ngum Lake. The route includes a stop at Ban Bor village to visit a cottage salt factory and see how natural salt gets extracted from the earth. You'll reach the lake by noon and have a Lao lunch at a restaurant overlooking the water. The afternoon brings a boat ride around the small islands. On the way back to Vientiane, you'll stop at Ban Phone village to watch traditional bamboo weaving and see rice-whisky being made, then visit Vang Xang archaeological site to see 11th-century Buddha stone carvings before returning to the city.
