Vientiane’s temples, the lively night market, and the riverside views made for a great introduction to Laos. We especially enjoyed visiting That Luang Stupa, the country’s most sacred site. The real highlight was Nam Ngum Lake—a beautiful and underrated destination. The boat trip was peaceful, with breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. As on our first visit, he gave us the opportunity to get an insight into the life of the local people and to get in touch with them. Apart from the fact that Serd is the best travel companion you could wish for, our entire trip was perfectly planned and excursions and hotels were superbly chosen. The mixture of culture, nature and sporting activity was exactly tailored to our wishes and we enjoyed every minute. Serd also knows where to get a good cup of coffee and recommends very good restaurants. This time we were in Vientiane for 3 days while four years ago we were also in the south and northeast.
