- Day 1
Middleburg to Pilgrims Rest
You'll leave the city and drive through Middleburg and Dullstroom, heading up the scenic Robbers Pass toward Pilgrims Rest. This small heritage town has quite a story - gold was found in Pilgrims Creek back in 1873 and the whole place was declared a gold field. Walking down the main road gives you a real sense of that history. From there, you'll follow the Panoramic Route, which has some beautiful views as you settle in for the evening.

Pilgrims Rest to Balule Private Game Reserve
Your day takes you through several key viewpoints starting with The Pinnacle, Gods Window, and Lisbon Falls before reaching Bourkes Luck Potholes. You'll walk along the cliffs overlooking Blyde River Canyon to see the landscape from up close. Then you head down through Abel Erasmus Pass and the Strijdom Tunnel into the Lowveld, arriving at Balule Private Game Reserve. Once there, a game drive gives you a chance to look for the Big 5 - elephant, lion, rhino, buffalo, and leopard.

Balule Private Game Reserve to Kruger National Park
Starting early, you'll do either a game drive or nature walk at Balule to spot antelope and other wildlife around the reserve. After that, you're heading into Kruger National Park, one of Africa's largest protected areas. The park covers a huge area where wildlife roams naturally, and you'll have more game driving time to find species you might have missed the day before.

Kruger National Park to Mbabane
You'll wake up early for one last game drive in Kruger to spot more wildlife before heading out. Then you're traveling to Eswatini, going through Piggs Peak and its mountain terrain. The Ngwenya Glass factory is where you'll see glassblowing in action. After that, you drive to Mbabane, the capital, for the night.

Mbabane to Hluhluwe iMfolozi Park
After breakfast, you'll visit Swazi Candles to see how local artists and craftspeople create their work. Then you're driving through Ezulwini Valley toward the border and crossing back into South Africa through Zululand. You'll head south to Hluhluwe iMfolozi Park for a game drive. This reserve has over 40 wildlife species including rhino, elephant, leopard, buffalo, giraffe, cheetah, and lots of birds.

Hluhluwe to Durban
You'll start with a game drive at Hluhluwe Game Reserve in KwaZulu-Natal, which is known for having the Big Five and many other species around. After the drive, you head to St Lucia, the gateway to iSimangaliso Wetland Park. A boat cruise on the estuary lets you see birds, hippo pods, and crocodiles along the banks. You'll drive through eucalyptus forests and sugar cane fields, ending your tour in Durban.
