Nairobi to Lake Nakuru National Park
You'll get picked up at your Nairobi hotel and driven to Lake Nakuru National Park. Once you arrive in time for lunch at the lodge, the afternoon brings an evening game drive where you'll watch for warthogs, buffaloes, rhinos, and over 400 bird species around the park.

Lake Nakuru to Masai Mara Game Reserve
Travel heads out to Masai Mara Game Reserve. The morning offers an optional boat ride if you're interested, then you'll move into the reserve for the rest of the day. Game viewing continues through sunset with chances to see lions, giraffes, zebras, and elephants. Back at the lodge by evening, you'll have cocktails while the sun sets.

After an early breakfast, you've got choices for the day at Masai Mara. Go on a full game drive, visit a Maasai village to learn about the culture (with a packed lunch included), or head back to the lodge for lunch. Either way, afternoon and evening game drives round out the day.

Following breakfast, you'll drive about 8 hours to Serengeti National Park in Tanzania through some rough roads. The drive includes game viewing stops along the way through Tanzania's largest national park. You'll arrive at the lodge in time for dinner after a long but worthwhile travel day.

Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, you'll travel to Ngorongoro Crater. First stop is Olduvai Gorge where you'll spend 45 minutes learning about human evolution from an expert. From there, head to the crater rim for half-day game viewing where you'll see zebras, wildebeest, black rhinos, and Maasai herds on the highlands.

Ngorongoro to Tarangire National Park
The day moves to Tarangire National Park, a less visited northern Tanzania reserve with pristine landscapes. You'll spend the full day game viewing across its 2,850 square kilometers, watching for birds in the swamps and wildlife along the Tarangire River. There's an option to stay in Arusha city that night if you want to cut down on travel the following day.
