- Bruce· June 13th, 2025Fantastic leadershipShow more
- Rena· June 12th, 2025This tour was pretty fast-paced but worth it for all the places you get to see. My parents are in their early 70's and kept up. There were a couple stops where we could have used a few more minutes for pictures (Pompei) or souvenir shopping. In my opinion they should really change the beginning and ending hotel in Rome, the BV Oly. Dirty, WiFi spotty, and poor service. But overall the rest of the hotels were pretty decent. There was a switch-up between booking the trip and attending it - it was supposed to originally be a stay in Sorrento with an optional boat trip to Capri - but especially with the explanation we were super happy with the resulting stay in Salerno and the boat trip up the Amalfi Coast. Positano was gorgeous, and the tour of the ornate Crypt of Saint Matthew in Salerno with the hot priest was awesome (shoutout to Nella!). I can't say enough good things about our tour leader, Violetta! She made everyone comfortable, had a great sense of humor, and really went the extra mile. Our family had booked a boat tour on Lake Garda prior to the trip, which I ended up cancelling when I found out we wouldn't have enough time in Sirmione to make it. She heard about it, mentioned she might have a contact, and adjusted that day's schedule to add the motor boat tour around the peninsula as an optional excursion for the whole group! (I hope they add that as an optional for trips in general, it was fun!) Our family got to experience that boat tour, which really meant a lot to us since we traced our ancestors back to the 1560's on the shores of Lake Garda. So very grateful to Violetta and ExPat. Grazie mille!!!Show more

Asked on January 12th, 2025can you please let me know if we can have our tour in mid July What would be the itinerary and the cost for me and my daughter who is 15 years old
- Expat Explore TravelOperator•Written January 2025
We do not offer this tour for July (as it is a peak season for tours on the region). Instead, we have another Tour offerd for the region around that month, and you may check the itinerary and available tours in Tour Radar. You just have to search for Italy Tours, then filter the month and the operator (Expat Explore), to see other options.

Asked on January 2nd, 2025Does this mean the tour is really about the bus driving through each landmark or attractions staying for an hour and then going to the next? That 50 people is a lot for a group, too large a group to even hear anything from the guide via blue-tooth earing device.
- Expat Explore TravelOperator•Written January 2025
We believe the best way to get to the heart and soul of a city is on foot, surrounded by the people and the culture. For this reason, we do walking tours through most of the cities we visit. This means that Yes there will be a couple of stops in each city to conduct the walking tours (which could last upto 3 Hours). The maximum capacity is 48 Pax (2 spaces are allocated for the Driver and the Tour Leader) and so far, we do not have any negative reactions from our previous travelers for this capacity in terms of hearing discussions during the tour.

Traveler•Written January 2025Am I correct in saying in this tour, you don't stay consecutive nights in any hotel? In other words, you stay in a new hotel every night.

Asked on January 1st, 2025Is transport between cities during the tour by train and are train tickets included?
- Expat Explore TravelOperator•Written January 2025
We offer Coach Tours with our own Coaches as the main transport method. There may be times public transport is used, but the fare is already included in the package. On free days, customers arrange their own transport.

Asked on January 1st, 2025Would like to visit the small town of D'Annibale, is that possible and where is it.
- Expat Explore TravelOperator•Written January 2025
We do not offer any customizations to our tours. If customers wish to make extra trips to locations not covered in the itinerary, they will have to arrange it from their end and schedule it before or after the tour.

Asked on December 31st, 2024Is the offer available in April?
- Expat Explore TravelOperator•Written January 2025
Our Italy in Low Season Tour is offered for customers who wish to travel to the Country during Off Peak Season and April is already considered peak season for this region. We do offer similar Tours during that month and other months not offered in the "in Low Season" Tour. You can check other Italian Tours in Tour Radar and you can filter the operator to us (Expat Explore).

Asked on November 24th, 2024Do guest usually organise to arrive the day prior to the area and stay at another hotel or can they arrange to pay for an extra night and stay at the hotel arranged by the tour operator? If so, what would be the additional cost?
- J
Jorge
Traveler•Written November 2024Is there an option of including transfers to the hotel? If so, could you advise on the additional cost? There will be three passengers. If transfers are possibly, then could you please also advise on return transfers to the airport?
- J
Jorge
Traveler•Written November 2024Could you tell me if there are any 'optional excursions' that are provided on this tour? If I have read the information correctly, the 'experiences' listed are included in the price and 'optional excursions' are not.

Traveler•Written November 2024Can you confirm that all rooms will have their own bathroom and air conditioning?
- Expat Explore TravelOperator•Written November 2024
Some chooses to arrive a day early while others arrive on the day, as long as they are able to catch the 10AM Meet up. Regrettably, we are unable to assist in reserving pre and post-accommodation. You can use Booking.com for your reservations.
- Expat Explore TravelOperator•Written November 2024
Regrettably, we can no longer assist with transfers. We recommend using public transport for airport-to-hotel transportation. If you prefer a transfer service, you can easily book through Welcome Pickups, a user-friendly platform with competitive prices.
- Expat Explore TravelOperator•Written November 2024
Yes, the listed experiences are already part of the Itinerary but we do have Optional Excursions offered for the Free Time or Free Days within the itinerary. These Optionals are at an added cost and can be booked through the Tour Leader while on the tour.
- Expat Explore TravelOperator•Written November 2024
Yes, all rooms used throughout the tour have their private en-suite Bathrooms. However, air conditioning is not commonly used in European Countries as it is cold mostly throughout the year. However, customers can request for fans at the Hotel Lobby if they feel that their room's temperature not to their preference.

Asked on October 15th, 2024Where to meet for our pick up at airport or Hotel on the start of 9th Nov 2025?
- Expat Explore TravelOperator•Written October 2024
At this stage, your departure is too far in advance for us to give you a confirmed starting hotel. Due to the fact that our hotels are subject to change, we do not provide inaccurate information beforehand to minimize any confusion that may be caused. We therefore suggest reaching out roughly 90 days prior for this information.
