- Day 1
Kathmandu
You'll land at Tribhuvan International Airport and transfer to your hotel in Thamel, where the tourist action centers. Spend the afternoon walking through the narrow winding streets, checking out local shops, or just sitting at a café and watching people pass by.

Kathmandu
This morning starts at Bouddhanath Stupa, one of the world's largest Buddhist temples where you'll see monks going through their prayers. From there, head to Pashupatinath, the major Hindu temple sitting on the holy Bagmati River. Later you'll explore Bhaktapur Durbar Square with its temples and the iconic 55-window palace that catches everyone's attention.

Kathmandu to Pokhara
Your guide picks you up at 6:30 am and you'll catch the 7:30 am tourist bus heading to Pokhara. The coach journey takes you through the landscape from Kathmandu across to Pokhara.
- Day 4
Pokhara to Jomsom to Kagbeni
Fly from Pokhara to Jomsom and take in the aerial views of Kali Gandaki Gorge, Mt. Dhaulagiri, and the Annapurna Ranges spread below. After landing, trek for about 3 to 4 hours from Jomsom to Kagbeni, where your permits get checked before entering Upper Mustang.

Kagbeni to Tangbe
Start trekking early to stay ahead of the strong afternoon winds. You'll see Nilgiri glowing orange in the morning light. Follow the Kali Gandaki River's east bank into Chhusang Valley and into the barren rocky landscape. Stop at Tangbe village with its red and whitewashed houses, then continue to Chele for Himalayan views.

Tangbe to Geling
Trek through rugged hills and reach a stone cairn at 3,540 meters, then drop down to Samar village with its Buddhist chortens. Push on into a large canyon, climb to a 3,800-meter ridge, and descend to Shyangmochen and Geling villages where you'll sleep tonight.

Geling to Charang
Head up from Geling to Nyi La Pass at 3,932 meters, then descend following the Tangmar Chu River with its Mani stone walls carved with prayers. Trek to Charang village and find a massive five-storey Dzong monastery and red Gompa, with traditional Thanka artwork to see inside.

Charang to Lo Manthang
Trek mostly uphill to Lo Gekar, where one of the world's oldest Tibetan monasteries sits. After exploring, travel by horse to Lo Manthang, passing the ancient walled city before crossing a stream to reach your destination for the night.

Lo Manthang
Climb for about two hours up to Namgyal Gompa sitting at a peak's summit, then trek to Tingkhar village northwest of Lo Manthang. This small settlement holds only about 40 houses and offers a quiet look at local life in the region.

Lo Manthang
Trek from Lo Manthang to Dhi Pass reaching 4,100 meters, then descend to Dhi Village, one of the more prosperous settlements here. Cross the river and follow the west bank to Yara Village at 3,650 meters.

Yara to Tange
Trek for roughly two hours then cross the river at Damodar Kunda, a sacred lake where there's no bridge so you'll walk barefoot through the water. After crossing, the trail climbs to a 3,850-meter pass and descends to Tange village with around 30 houses.

Tange to Tetang
Trek from Tange to Tetang Village, sheltered between two hills and the upper village of Chhusang that you passed through on your first trekking day after entering Mustang from Kagbeni.

Tetang to Chhusang
Trek to Chhusang Village and into the valley above where Muktinath comes into view. Walk through the valley, cross the river using a suspension bridge, and keep moving through an area known for fossils called Shaligrams in the Gandaki River. The trek offers great views of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, and Tukuche ranges.

Chhusang to Pokhara
Fly from Jomsom back to Pokhara in 15 to 20 minutes with Himalayan views during the flight. Back at Pokhara, relax and think back on your trek. Optional activities include walking along the lakeside, visiting World Peace Pagoda, Bindabasini Temple, Matepani Buddhist Monastery, the International Mountain Museum, or taking a short bus to Devi's Falls.

Departure from Kathmandu
A Sherpa Expedition Teams representative drops you at Kathmandu International Airport at least 3 hours before your flight. Your tour ends and you head home.
