Delhi
You'll arrive in Delhi where your trip leader is waiting at a 6 pm welcome meeting. If you get there earlier, spend time wandering the streets, grabbing some chai, or trying your luck haggling in the markets. Your leader can point you toward good spots for drinks if you want to head out with the group later.

Delhi to Tordi
Take a train through the countryside heading to Tordi, a remote village in Rajasthan. You're staying in an 18th-century palace with the owner as your host. After settling in, check out the ruined temple and fortress nearby, then sit down for a home-cooked dinner with local dishes prepared by your host.

Tordi to Jaipur
There's an optional sunrise hike if you want to get views of the town and surrounding area, with chai and cookies waiting at the top. Then travel to Jaipur, known as the Pink City. You'll have free time to haggle at bazaars, walk through the Royal City Palace, try street food like raj kachori chaat or lassi, or catch a Bollywood film at Raj Mandir Cinema.

Jaipur
Start with an optional early morning hot air balloon ride for views of Jaipur. Next you'll see the Hawa Mahal with its distinctive honeycombed windows, then head to the hilltop Amber Fort complex. The rest of the day is yours to explore, and your leader can suggest dinner spots depending on what sounds good to you.

Travel to Agra by public bus, which gives you a real sense of everyday Indian life. You'll arrive at the Taj Mahal, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Take your time here appreciating the monument and getting photos that capture what makes this place special to you personally.

Agra to Varanasi
You have a free day to explore Agra however you want. Consider visiting Agra Fort to wander the gardens and see the Taj Mahal from a different angle, or grab a meal at Sheroes Hangout, which supports acid attack survivors. Later you'll take an evening train to Varanasi for an overnight journey in a sleeper car.

Varanasi
You'll arrive in Varanasi in the morning, one of India's holiest cities. Spend the day exploring the temples, shrines, and people who come here for spiritual reasons. There's an optional yoga class if you want that, or you can simply relax and take in the meditative atmosphere before an early start tomorrow.

Varanasi
Start early for a sunrise boat ride on the sacred Ganges River. You'll pass ghats and temples while watching pilgrims cleanse themselves in the holy water as the sun comes up. After that, an auto rickshaw takes you through the narrow alleyways of the oldest part of the city, where you'll see shops, stalls, sacred cows, pilgrims performing rituals, and smell incense.

Varanasi to Lumbini
Cross the border into Nepal at Sunauli for a longer travel day. You'll arrive in Lumbini, where Gautama Buddha was born and one of Buddhism's four holy pilgrimage sites. Walk around the Ashoka Pillars and take cycle rickshaws to the Maya Devi Temple, the actual location where Buddha is believed to have been born.

Lumbini to Chitwan National Park
Head to Chitwan National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with some of Asia's best wildlife viewing. Look for rhinos, deer, monkeys, wild birds, and potentially Bengal tigers. You'll stay overnight at a lodge near the park and fall asleep listening to the sounds of nature around you.

Chitwan National Park
Early morning jeep safari through Chitwan National Park with a local guide, where you might spot elephants, rhinos, and possibly Bengal tigers. Chitwan National Park to Kathmandu
Travel to Kathmandu, Nepal's capital with its distinctive scents and energy. Get settled and consider an optional massage or yoga if you want to relax. Spend your free time at the giant Buddhist Stupa at Boudhanath, walking through streets filled with monks and sacred cows, trying gulab jamun sweets, or joining the group for Kathmandu's nightlife.
