Moshi to Olpopongi
You'll start cycling from Mt. Kilimanjaro's green southern slopes, moving through coffee and banana plantations toward the western plains. The route takes you across dirt and tarmac roads through Maasai lands, where you'll see acacia woodlands and wildlife against those constant mountain backdrops. By day's end, you reach Olpopongi Maasai Village after covering terrain that shifts from cultivated areas to more open country.

Olpopongi to Arusha
This is a longer riding day starting from Ngasurai's open plains heading toward Arusha city. Conditions get hot and dusty as you cycle through territory where migrating elephants pass through, connecting toward Amboseli National Park in Kenya. After the dirt roads end, you'll join the main tarmac with Mt. Meru visible ahead. The route passes through a coffee estate, and you'll finish at your lodge just outside the city.

Landmarks Mt. Meru Amboseli National Park - Day 3
Arusha to Tarangire
The longest cycling distance on the tour, mostly tarmac roads through Tanzanian countryside with rolling terrain. You'll ride through various villages and towns across open plains before turning onto dirt roads toward your camp near Tarangire National Park's border, where Tanzania's largest elephant population lives. After this hot stretch, the lodge's swimming pool offers a welcome cool-down.

Landmarks Tarangire National Park - Day 4
Tarangire to Lake Manyara
You're cycling through wildlife corridors connecting Lake Manyara and Tarangire National Parks. Starting on the main road, you'll divert onto dirt roads toward Lake Manyara, passing abundant wildlife and Maasai settlements. The Great Rift Valley views are spectacular along this section. After riding past Mto wa Mbu town, a final dirt road stretch leads to your camp at Migombani.

Landmarks Lake Manyara Great Rift Valley - Day 5
Lake Manyara to Ngorongoro
This final cycling day is the toughest but delivers real rewards. From dirt roads, you'll transition back onto tarmac past Mto wa Mbu and Lake Manyara National Park's entrance, then tackle a challenging climb up the Great Rift Valley escarpment. There's a viewpoint stop overlooking Lake Manyara for photos. Continuing past colorful Karatu town, you reach the Ngorongoro Conservation Area entrance gate where your cycling tour ends.
