Arusha
You'll arrive at the airport and transfer to your hotel in Arusha. If your flight gets in early, there's time to walk around the lodge grounds, take a swim, or check out whatever optional activities they have available for the afternoon.

Arusha to Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, you'll stop in Arusha for any last-minute shopping before heading toward Tarangire National Park. Lunch happens on the way, and then you'll get out for your first game drive. The park has around 3,000 elephants and the landscape is dotted with baobab trees, so there's a lot to see right away.

Lake Manyara National Park
You'll head to Lake Manyara National Park after breakfast for a full day of game drives. The park sits at the foot of the Great Rift Valley's escarpment and you'll see flamingos in large numbers, tree-climbing lions if you're lucky, plus buffalo, zebra, hippos, leopards, elephants, and giraffes. The landscape shifts between savannah, rocky areas, marshes, and acacia woodland.

Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, you'll travel through the highland areas heading south toward Serengeti National Park, arriving around midday. The park is massive and has lots of different habitats like short grass plains, savannah, bush areas, swamps, and lakes. You'll notice rock formations called kopjes scattered around where predators often hang out. The annual migration brings hundreds of thousands of wildebeest and zebras through here.

Serengeti National Park
Starting with breakfast at camp, you'll do more game drives and head to Seronera in the central part of the park for a full day exploring. This region is known for having over 3,000 lions and around 1,000 leopards, so your chances of seeing big cats are pretty good. African elephants are scattered throughout the park as well.

Lake Ndutu
This day focuses on early morning and late afternoon game drives around the Ndutu area, exploring the lake and the plains. If you're visiting between December and May, you might catch the wildebeest migration, with calving typically happening in February and the herds crossing the lake. From June to November the plains dry out and the migration moves toward Moru Kopjes.

Landmarks/POIs Lake Ndutu - Day 7
Lake Ndutu
You'll do early morning and late afternoon game drives in the Ndutu area, checking out the lake and surrounding landscape. The migration passes through from December through May, with February bringing the calving season and the large crossing of Lake Ndutu. After June the plains get dry and the herds head toward Moru Kopjes in the northern part of the park.

Lake Ndutu
After breakfast you'll continue watching the migration and head back to the lodge by evening. You'll pass through swamps, woodland, soda lakes, and the flat short grass plains that Serengeti is known for. The herds of wildebeest and zebra move through constantly. During February, most calves are born and those young animals have to keep up with the herd within a few days to survive.

Arusha
After breakfast you'll spend time in the colorful town of Mto-wa-Mbu for photos and shopping, then head to Arusha where your tour ends at the airport. From there you'll connect with your international flight home or head on to Zanzibar if that's your next stop.
