Anchorage
You'll arrive in Anchorage and get transferred to your hotel for check-in. This evening there's a welcome meeting where you'll meet the other travelers and start getting to know the group before everything kicks off.

- Day 2
Seward
The drive down Seward Highway takes you past Turnagain Arm, which has one of the world's largest bore tides. From there you'll hike to Exit Glacier using the Glacier Overlook Trail to see the massive ice formation up close. The afternoon is flexible, so you can either explore Seward on your own or join an optional wilderness hike if you're interested.

Seward
You'll start at the Alaska SeaLife Center, an aquarium that works with National Geographic on research. After that, you'll board a catamaran cruise through Kenai Fjords National Park where nearly 40 glaciers meet the sea. During the cruise you'll watch ice calve into the water and look for orcas, humpbacks, puffins, and porpoises, with lunch served on board.

Talkeetna
At the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Centre you'll learn about animal rescue efforts across the state. Walk the scenic 200-acre loop to spot brown bears, moose, wood bison, and wolves. Later you'll head to Thunder Bird Falls Trail for a short hike to the waterfall, then move on to Talkeetna where you'll have the evening free to walk around town.

Denali National Park
You're heading toward Denali National Park with views of Denali, North America's highest peak, approaching in the distance. At a dog sledding facility you'll get to snuggle husky puppies, watch sled dogs training for racing season, and learn about mushing traditions. Breakfast and lunch are both included as you explore this remote wilderness area.

- Day 6
Denali National Park
You'll go on a wildlife safari into Denali National Park, driving along the park road to Mile 43 at East Fork Bridge and heading back. The focus is on finding Denali's 'big five': grizzly bears, moose, caribou, Dall sheep, and wolves. The sparse landscape makes wildlife really stand out, and the drive back gives you another opportunity to spot animals.

Denali National Park
An Alaska resident will meet with the group to share what life is like in America's northernmost state. You'll then join a naturalist-guided hike from the Denali Education Center where kids can work on their junior ranger activities. After lunch, you'll have a free afternoon to explore the area at your own pace.

Anchorage
You'll visit the Alaska Native Heritage Center for a private tour and presentation about the traditional and contemporary cultures of Alaska's Indigenous peoples. Back in Anchorage, the group will gather this evening for a farewell dinner to wrap up the trip.
