- Luke· July 20th, 2023We went on the 16 day Jordan and Egypt tour. We had a great experience and came away with some unforgettable memories. The tour and experience were well worth the price. If we had our time over, we would do the same thing! Things that were great: - We saw LOTs of stuff - Petra, the Pyramids, and valley of the Kings were some of the highlights for us. There are many, many other amazing places that you will get to visit. - The tour guides were awesome ; particularly Ibrahim and Bassam who guided us in Egypt did a great job of making the sometimes challenging experience of visiting Egypt as stress free as possible - while at the same time providing lots of context and information on what we were seeing. - We are not "cruise" people, but we found the Nile cruise was surprisingly good. Given how hot Egypt was when we visited and how hectic some of the sites were, having a relaxed boat to retreat to for part of the day was invaluable. It was very pleasant sitting in your cabin and watching the Nile roll by. - The Airport greeting and transfers were invaluable and done very well! - Overall the communication with the tour company and support they provided us was very good ; being able to talk to them on whatsapp and get quick answers was really appreciated. If your considering this tour be aware: - The tour does include some places where you are taken to buy things. Examples were the Egyptian Essential Oil factories, the Papyrus factory, Dead Sea products, and Alabaster Carvings. We were fine with this as it was a minor part of the tour, there wasn't much pressure to buy, and we needed to get some gifts for people back home. We bought some nice stuff! Some people on our tour really enjoyed the shopping - but we also understand this may not be for everyone. - You will go to A LOT of places; not all of them will be great for everybody - The Red Sea Resort and Alexandria were two places that didn't resonate as much for us. If you are spending 16 days seeing multiple things a day, not all of them will be winners. - Perhaps we should have done a bit more research, but we found the prices in Jordan were quite high. Most meals cost more than they would have in Australia, which we found surprising - expect to spend quite a bit on food. - The tour can be more of an "adventure" style trip and your will get more out of it, if your prepared to push yourself out of your comfort zone. For example we spent 12 hours hiking around Petra in intensly hot weather - and loved every minute of it! You don't have to do this, and it may not be for everybody. Be aware that the more you put in, the more you will get out! A few things that could have been improved: - There were some mistakes with my partners name and the airline tickets which the tour company booked for us, which resulted in her being charged extra, and having to re-book tickets. - We were looking forward to trying some amazing Jordanian and Egyptian food. There definitely are some good places the tour will take you to - but also quite a few where we came away feeling underwhelmed ; particularly given the high prices of food in Jordan. We found that that some of the best meals we had were places we found by ourselves in our free time. Overall we would happily recommend this tour to anybody who is keen to see as much of Egypt and Jordan as possible and has a yearning to explore!Show moreVacations to go travel commented on this reviewThank you for sharing your experience on the 16-day Jordan and Egypt tour. - LMLyn· May 26th, 2023An excellent tour that covers everything you could want/expect to see in Egypt and Jordan. Fur the Egypt section out Egyptologist, Max, was fantastic- friendly, organized , and knowledgeable. Our tour group was small (only 12 people) and we were all from different countries- a great group to spend 8 days with. The Jordan part of the tour was just the 4 of us with a driver, very different but also very good. The Egypt part is full on and you do cover long distances with early morning starts but it is worth it. Jordan is a bit easier with less distance to cover.Show moreVacations to go travel commented on this reviewThank you for your excellent review! - JPJennifer· November 16th, 2022What a trip! I had an amazing time and will be heading back. Egypt and Jorden have both captured a piece of my heart. I never got why people became obsessed with Egyptology and tomb hunting, but now I know. I was concerned about travelling on my own to countries that are seen in the UK to have very different cultural approaches to women, but not once did I feel unsafe (apart from crossing the road in Cairo. I take my hat off to Egypt’s “Rock” for driving in that every day!) and everyone I met from tour guides, hotel staff, waiters, and shop keepers, were respectful, welcoming and could not do enough to make sure I had a good trip. My special thanks go to Michael Adolf (vacations to Go Travel, Egypt), Hussein Elmouneir (vacations to Go Travel, Egypt) and Ahmad Alhafez (Experience Jordan Adventures). Each of them went above, and beyond the high standard of customer service, I received throughout my trip. Firstly Michael, what a great person to be met off my flight! I was nervous and concerned about being on my own and having to find the hotel transfer, sorting my visa and having no Egyptian pounds on me. I grabbed my bag and headed out into arrivals; there was Michael with a big clear sign and an even bigger smile on his face, “welcome to Egypt”. He immediately put me at my ease and sorted everything for me. He continued this the entire time I was in Egypt, checking in to see how I and the others in my group were getting on. He even checked in when I was in Jorden to ensure everything was good. He did everything I asked and more, changing bookings, sorting flights, and printing documentation for my onward travel. He even spent a while checking the return flights to the USA, which my fellow travellers had booked, even thou the flights were not part of the package. Hussein’s beautiful and lovely stories of the temples and the Gods and Goddesses not only showed his passion for the workmanship but for the mythology around these magnificent structures. It was a delight to see how pleased he was when we started to recognise images of the gods and know some of the symbols; that pure delight of sharing your passion with others was infectious. He has inspired me to learn more about the ancient gods. Hand in hand with his passion was his kindness. There was an elderly lady in our group (86, I can only wish to be half as fit as her when I’m that old!) that had a mobility issue. Hussein guided us in such a gentle way that we managed to see all the best parts at a pace fast enough that we didn’t get swallowed up by bigger groups but also allowed her to rest when needed. And finally, Ahmad. How will I ever be able to take a road trip again without him? We laughed, mostly about Jorden’s national bird, we sang, and we talked about everything and anything. Ahmad made sure I had the must-have photos, the sea level marker on the way to the dead sea and the camel crossing road sign and added a few little extra stops along our route that he knew I would enjoy. Most of the extra stops did involve food. Lots of food! We ate well, a real taste of Jorden. If Ahmad ever starts a food tour of Jorden, I will be on that trip! I learnt how to swear are bad drivers in Arabic, and I turned his car into my walk-in wardrobe. Getting footprints on the dash and a ton of sand in the foot well, other drivers would have hated me, but Ahmad took it all in his stride. His car was my car to do what I liked with. “I’ll just get it cleaned when your gone”, Shoulder shrug. This carefree attitude and no rush, as it was just me, meant for the first time in a long, long time I could just relax and simply just enjoy the drive without having to organise anything or think about anyone else. A total escape from my life back home. What more can you ask for in a holiday? I have waited since 2020 for this holiday, and it surpassed my expectations. I will be travelling in the middle east again, and I will definitely be booking another holiday with TourRadar.Show moreTrip date: October 2022
- KCKelly· August 9th, 2022Absolutely excellent tour of Egypt and Jordan with Vacations To Go/TourRadar. We saw many historical sights: Abu Simbel, the pyramids and Petra. We also saw other things such as the Dead Sea and the desert. It was balanced between relaxation and adventure. It was superbly organised; the whole journey was smooth and the tour guides were very helpful. We went as a family with 2 young boys (8 & 11) and would strongly recommend this (although there is ‘a bit’ of walking!). It was very professional and friendly, in particular Michael in Cairo and Mohammed in Jordan were brilliant. Good hotels, cruise and desert camp. Wonderful holiday.Show moreVacations to go travel commented on this reviewHi Kelly, We are incredibly grateful that you took the time out to leave us a 5-Star review! Asked on December 27th, 2024What is the difference between the 16 day Egypt and Jordan trip verses the 13 day Highlight Egypt and Jordan trip. If you could please clarify what is included and what is not, that would be helpful. Does the 16 day trip include the 4x4 jeep or is that extra?
- Vacations to go travelOperator•Written December 2024
Here is a comparison of the 16-Day Egypt and Jordan Tour and the 13-Day Egypt and Jordan Highlights Tour: 16-Day Tour offers a more comprehensive experience with 16 days, includes a 4x4 Jeep Tour in Wadi Rum as part of the tour itinerary, visits Hurghada, and has a more leisurely pace. 13-Day Tour is shorter, covers main sites, and the 4x4 Jeep Tour may be an optional add-on for an extra charge.
