What our customers ask about this tour

Asked on April 28th, 2025Could we do both optional Cape Town activities (Winelands & Cape Peninsula)? One each day for the two free days in Cape Town and what would be the cost? Could we schedule a return ride to the airport on Thursday 8/14 included in the tour price? Also, since we will three more days at the end of the tour is there a chance to schedule any activities those days - we would be interested in going to Table Mountain and Lion's Head/Signal Hill and having guided hiking. And if so, approximate costs? Could we have examples of the likely accommodations for both the Backpacker hotels and more deluxe accommodations (and any additional costs so we would have an idea of any added costs? Would we be able to leave some luggage in a secure location at hotel in Cape Town while we travel the Garden Route? We would want to do a whale watching excursion in Hermanus, would we be missing other activities listed to do this?
- Encounters TravelOperator•Written April 2025
We don't arrange trips in Cape Town other than the ones listed: One Day Cape Winelands group tour - R1400 per person, One Day Cape Peninsula group tour - R1550 per person. Whale watching - R1320 per person, on the Monday only, you don't miss any activities. You can easily arrange Cape Town activities by booking online or with accommodation reception. We usually book the same accommodation at the start and end so you can leave your luggage in the start hostel/guesthouse.

Asked on July 6th, 2024I am interested in the 10 day Garden Route tour of South Africa. I will be traveling with my parents. I want to book tickets for all 3 of us together but when i go to book the accommodation it is not letting choose 3 people per room. I would love to stay close to where my parents are staying since they are on the older side. How do i solve this issue? Second question is diet - both my parents I eat only fish and chicken for non-vegetarian. If you have a beef or pork dish, will there be a chicken option?
- Encounters TravelOperator•Written July 2024
We do not offer our guest house level for December trips as this is peak season. We can offer private rooms in the backpacks which may accommodate 3 adults in a room. As for your dietary needs we will be able to accommodate your needs.
