The biking activity on this itinerary is a very leisurely 7.5 mile ride along mostly flat paved or gravel paths. Most travelers do not find an e-bike necessary but we're happy to pre-request one for any travelers who would like one. The additional cost of the e-bike rental is the responsibility of the traveler and is usually fairly nominal, in the 20 - 30 euro range per bike, but this can vary by season and dates. These are rented and manufacturers vary.

The same guide accompanies you throughout the entire expedition so you're never having to make your own way. You can bring as many people as you would like on a private expedition! We ran the trip for a group of around 30 people last summer and it went great. Kayaks are generally tandem (2 people) and enclosed, but we can request a single enclosed kayak if anyone prefers to paddle on their own.

Solo accommodations are currently on sale for $3,204, regularly $3,560. We do offer an optional, complimentary match program for solo travelers interested in sharing accommodations to avoid the solo supplement. The only biking activity on Day 5 of the trip is an easy ride along paved, dirt and gravel pathways with minimal ups and downs. It is much more of a leisure ride than a strenuous ride. Because some of the path has dirt and gravel, mountain bikes are provided. We are happy to request an e-bike with advanced notice, but most travelers do not find an e-bike necessary for this activity. Currently there are (2) others signed up for that June 8 departure, an active couple in their early 70s.

The biking component of this trip takes place on Mljet and is very low key. The ride takes place entirely along paved or gravel trails with minimal uphill or downhill gradients. Travelers should know how to ride a bike but no technical biking skills are needed beyond that! The ride is 7.5 miles total and generally takes 1.5 - 2 hours with stops to take in the scenery. We generally use mountain bikes but these are provided by a rental shop on Mljet and occasionally we end up with power-assist bikes. We do not do any biking in Split.
