- Day 1
Nairobi
Your safari kicks off in Nairobi with an airport pickup and hotel transfer. This evening you'll meet the rest of your group and your driver guide at the Carnivore restaurant for dinner, so you can get to know everyone before heading into the parks.

- Day 2
Nairobi to Aberdare National Park
After breakfast, you'll head north toward Aberdare National Park in a 4x4. Along the way, you'll stop at a working coffee and tea estate to see how things grow and get processed, then taste some local tea and coffee with a traditional meal. The Ark Lodge is where you'll spend the night, and from there you can watch the floodlit waterhole for wildlife activity.

Kenya Highlands to Samburu National Reserve
You'll leave the green highlands and drive into the arid landscapes of Samburu National Reserve. The terrain here is quite different from what you've seen so far, with open scrubland and rocky outcrops. Throughout the day, keep an eye out for grevy's zebra and reticulated giraffe, which you won't find anywhere else in Kenya. By evening, you'll reach a luxury tented camp situated right on the Ewaso Nyiro River, where you can settle in and listen to the sounds of the savannah.

- Day 4
Samburu National Reserve
Get up early and head out on a morning game drive through the acacia forests and grasslands of Samburu National Reserve. Your guide will take you searching for wildlife in these areas, and you'll learn that this is the same place where Elsa the lioness from Born Free roamed. After returning to camp for breakfast and a rest during the heat of the day, you'll go back out for a late afternoon game drive through the savannah when animals are more active again.

Landmarks Samburu National Reserve - Day 5
Ol Pejeta Conservancy - Sweetwaters Sanctuary
This morning you'll head to Ol Pejeta Conservancy, which is East Africa's largest black rhino sanctuary. Your guides will explain the anti-poaching work happening there and what conservation efforts look like on the ground. You'll stop at the equator for photos, then drive to Sweetwaters Sanctuary where you can meet rescued orphaned chimpanzees up close. Back at your accommodation later, the floodlit waterhole attracts wildlife after dark, so you can watch animals come to drink from your vantage point.

- Day 6
Lake Nakuru National Park
You'll make a stop at Thomson's Falls for photos before driving to Lake Nakuru National Park, which is known for its bird life. If you're interested in birdwatching, this is the place to be. In the afternoon, your driver guide takes you on a game drive around the lakeshore where you might see pink flamingos, lions, leopards, and other wildlife depending on what's around that day. The lake itself creates a different ecosystem from the reserves you've visited before.

- Day 7
Maasai Mara National Reserve
You arrive at Maasai Mara National Reserve and settle into your lodge for the next two nights. Head over to the watering hole near the lodge where you'll likely spot large pods of hippos hanging out in the water. It's a great way to get a feel for the wildlife right from your base, and the lodge staff can point out the best viewing spots depending on what's been seen recently.

This is a full day in the Mara with game drives in the morning and afternoon to hunt for the Big 5. In between drives, you'll visit a Maasai village where warriors show off their jumping skills and explain traditional hunting techniques, then walk around to see how the community lives. Lunch happens back at the lodge between your drives.

Your safari wraps up as you make your way back to Nairobi. A day room is waiting for you at the Four Points by Sheraton Nairobi Airport Hotel, so you can freshen up, grab lunch, and relax before heading to the airport for your evening flight. It's a nice way to transition from the reserve back to the city before your journey home.
