- Day 1
Overland Journey to Besisahar
Your trip begins with an overland bus journey through Nepal heading toward Besisahar. This town sits in Lamjung district within the Mid-West region, surrounded by warm agricultural farmland. The drive gives you your first real sense of Nepal's landscape and sets the stage for the trekking ahead.

Landmarks Besisahar - Day 2
Besisahar to Pisang
After your overnight stop, you'll travel by jeep on mountain roads through Syange, Jagat, and Chamje villages. The route follows the Marsyangdi River with views of Annapurna and Manaslu ranges on either side. From Dharapani and Chame, the road climbs into cooler alpine forests of rhododendron and pine trees. By evening you reach Pisang village for the night, gaining elevation and adjusting to the terrain.

- Day 3
Pisang to Manang
Today's trek starts in Pisang and moves through woodland where Annapurna II and III come into view, along with Gangapurna, Chulus, and Pisang peaks. As you climb higher, tree lines fade and the landscape becomes barren and cold. You'll stop at the old Braga monastery to see ancient Buddhist relics, then continue to Manang village, which has traditional Tibetan-style buildings and strong cultural character.

Manang
This is your rest day for acclimatization before heading to higher elevations. Spend time in Manang village, which sits beneath Annapurna and Gangapurna ranges. There's also a glacial lake near the village that's worth checking out. Having a full day here helps your body adjust to the altitude before the harder days ahead.

Manang to Ledar
After resting, you trek from Manang on gentle uphill paths toward Ghunsang and Yak Kharka. The high altitude trekking offers views of snowcapped mountains throughout the day. You'll cross a small stream, and after less than an hour more walking, you'll reach Ledar, a small lodge settlement. The views of Chulu West and northern peaks from here are particularly good.

Ledar to Thorang High Camp
Today's trek follows the river bank through high altitude terrain as you climb toward Thorang Phedi. From there, about an hour of steep climbing on winding paths brings you to Thorang High Camp. This overnight stop prepares you physically and mentally for tomorrow's main ascent to the pass.

Thorang High Camp to Muktinath
This is the main highlight of your trek. After an early breakfast, you tackle the long steep climb up Thorang-la on winding paths to reach Thorang La Pass at 5,416 m (17,769 ft). It's the highest point of the trek with views of snowcapped peaks in all directions. After crossing, you descend to Muktinath, a holy place for Hindus and Buddhists at 3,800 m high, meaning 'place for Nirvana or Liberation'.

- Day 8
Muktinath to Jomsom to Pokhara
You'll leave Muktinath early to catch your flight from Jomsom. The drive takes you through the wide Kaligandaki River Valley on dusty roads to Jomsom, a headquarters town in the Mustang area and home to the Thakali people. From Jomsom airport, a small aircraft carries you on a scenic flight to Pokhara, a city known for mountain views and lakes. After landing, a short drive brings you to your hotel by Phewa Lake, where you'll have free time for whatever interests you.
