Airport to Habarana
After arriving at the airport, you'll be driven to Habarana with a stop at Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage along the way. Once you check in near Sigiriya, head out in the evening to climb Pidurangala Rock for views of Sigiriya and catch the sunset from up there.

Sigiriya to Polonnaruwa
Start early at 06:00 to explore Sigiriya Rock, a UNESCO World Heritage site with its ancient lion-shaped fortress and frescoes. After breakfast, drive to Polonnaruwa to see this well-preserved ancient city with its dagobas and the massive lake from 1200 AD. Head back to Habarana for the night.

Anuradhapura
Following breakfast, drive to Anuradhapura, Sri Lanka's sacred ancient city that ranks with Nineveh and Babylon historically. You'll see the monumental dagobas including Jetavana, Abayagiry, and Ruwwanveli Seya. There's also the option to visit the 12-meter high Aukana Buddha statue from the 5th century on the way. Return to Habarana for the night.

Kandy
Starting at 09:30, explore Kandy city and visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, the country's most prominent Buddhist temple. Walk around scenic Kandy Lake, and check out a Batik factory, wood carving workshops, a gem museum, and the Bahirawakandha Buddha statue. Return to your hotel in Kandy later.

Ella

Mirissa
Explore Mirissa throughout the day by visiting turtle hatcheries to learn about sea turtle conservation on Sri Lanka's southern coast. Stop at the famous Instagram swing on Dalawella Beach, which hangs from a palm tree overlooking the ocean. Then visit Galle Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage site built by the Portuguese in 1505 and later fortified by the Dutch in the 17th century. Return to Mirissa for the night.

Mirissa to Colombo to Airport
After breakfast, drive to Colombo, which takes about 2.5 hours. Spend the afternoon sightseeing and shopping at attractions like Gangarama Temple, Seema Marakaya, Lotus Tower, and Galle Face Green. Check out shopping malls including Odel, Liberty Plaza, Majestic City, and One Galle Face. Your driver will get you to the international airport in time for your flight (timing depends on your departure schedule).
