Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival to Sigiriya
Your chauffeur will pick you up at the airport and you'll start the 3.5-hour drive to Sigiriya. Along the way, you'll stop at the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage to see the rescued elephants, then visit a spice garden to learn about local plants and their uses. After checking into your hotel, you'll have time to rest before heading out in the evening. Later, you'll hike up Pidurangala Rock for views of Sigiriya rock fortress and watch the sunset from up there.

Sigiriya to Kandy
You'll start early, around 6:00 AM, for the climb up Sigiriya rock fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The rocky terrain and ancient structures make it quite a trek, but you'll head back to your hotel after for breakfast. From there, you'll transfer to Kandy, which takes about 2.5 hours. During the drive, you'll stop at the Golden Cave Temple in Dambulla, a Buddhist site carved into caves dating back centuries. By evening, you'll visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic in Kandy, one of the most important Buddhist temples in the country.

Kandy to Ella
After breakfast, you'll take a Kandy city tour and can freely explore the lake view, batik factory, wood carving shops, and gem museum. Then you'll transfer toward the hill country, heading to Nanu-Oya which is about 2.5 hours away. You'll stop at a tea factory to see how tea is processed and you might catch a view of Ramboda Waterfall during the drive. The main event is the scenic 4-hour train ride from Nanu Oya to Ella, where you'll see tea plantations, forests, and mountain scenery from your seat. Your driver will meet you at the station and take you to your hotel in Ella.

- Day 4
Ella to Bentota
You'll wake early to climb Little Adam's Peak for sunrise views over the valleys and hills. After heading back for breakfast at your hotel, you'll check out the Nine Arch Bridge, a colonial-era railroad bridge where you can photograph trains passing through. Then you're heading to the southern coast, a 3.5-hour drive, and you'll stop at Galle Dutch Fort to walk through the historic walls and old buildings. You'll also do a boat safari on Madu River to see the local wildlife and mangroves, and visit a sea turtle hatchery. Once you arrive at your beach resort, the rest of the day is yours to relax.

Bentota to Colombo (Departure)
You'll have breakfast and then transfer to Colombo, about 1.5 hours away. In the afternoon, you'll do some sightseeing around the city and hit some shops if you'd like. You'll see the Gangarama Temple, the Seema Malakaya shrine, Lotus Tower, the Municipal Council building, and Galle Face Green, which is a public promenade along the coast. For shopping, there are several malls like Odel, Liberty Plaza, Majestic City, and One Galle Face. Your chauffeur will make sure you get to the international airport on time for your flight home.
