Zac· December 25th, 2022Lima Tours went above and beyond even with the situation that arose in the country at the time of our visit. We understand that lots of stuff was out of their control due to the country’s political problems that are and were plaguing it’s tourism sector. We were some of the people stuck in Machu Picchu city of Auga Calenties during the civil unrest. Even with the crazy hike that we had to do and the quickness of getting out of certain areas, Lima tours people were very very helpful, We want to thank our tour guide of Machu Picchu as he was super knowledgeable and helpful with our tour of the ancient temple city. We want to thank our guides that hiked us out of Machu Picchu (Uber and Arnold?). Also thanks to our local tour rep in the Machu Picchu area and Cusco area. I would definitely recommend this company for future visits and friends and family, Again they made the inconveniences a lot more bearable and helped us with the issues that arose, our only disappointment was we missed our tour of the Nazca Lines and Ballesta islands, but again that was out of their control. All of the guides spoke excellent English and Spanish. They really made it a great trip and we saw a lot of Peru in a short amount of time. We paid for the upgraded hotel option and were pleasantly surprised at the hotels in Cusco (Inkaterra La Casona) and Paracas (La Hacienda Bahía Paracas) . These hotels exceeded our expectations and are some of the best hotels we have stayed in and are highly recommended. The hotel in Aguas Calientes (Machupicchu Pueblo) meet our expectations. Hotel José Antonio Deluxe in Lima was a disappointment and should not be used as an upgraded hotel by the company. The beds were uncomfortable and the room was very hot and took a long time to cool down. The location was convenient however.. There are still tickets for Machu Picchu for these dates. To preserve the Historical Sanctuary, the Ministry of Culture has established different circuits. We have availability in circuit 4, which allows access to the sanctuary without problems.

Recommend booking a flight in the morning that does not arrive after 11:00 a.m. because in the afternoon you have a tour of the city of Cusco. City tour of Cusco begins at 13:00hrs. Travel insurance is not mandatory but for your safety is better that you own one. For COVID-19 entry requirements for Peru: fill out Sworn Declaration of Health, travelers 12+ must prove COVID-19 vaccination 14 days before boarding, or present negative PCR test within 72 hours.
