Itinerary
- Day 1
Kathmandu to Chitwan
Start early with breakfast in Kathmandu, then drive south toward Chitwan. The five-hour journey follows the Trishuli River gorge as it winds through Nepal's hills and valleys. You'll pass through rural areas and smaller towns before reaching the Narayanghad region in Chitwan district. Check in at your lodge in the late afternoon and settle in for the night.

Landmarks Trishuli River - Day 2
Chitwan
Spend the day exploring Royal Chitwan National Park with options to suit your interests. Take a canoe trip on the Rapti or Budhi Rapti rivers to watch for crocodiles and water birds, or join a jungle drive to look for tigers and rhinos in their natural habitat. Bird watchers can spot from the over 450 species living here. Walk through the forest with a guide, visit the Elephant Breeding Centre, or tour a Tharu village to learn about local culture. In the evening, watch traditional Tharu folk dancing. If you prefer, do an elephant safari or bathe with elephants. Return to your lodge at night.

- Day 3
Chitwan to Kathmandu
Drive back north to Kathmandu on the same route through the Trishuli River valley. The five-hour drive takes you from Chitwan back through the hills and into the Kathmandu Valley. You'll arrive in the city by late afternoon and check into your hotel for the final night.
