Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in Cairo
Your flight lands in Cairo where you'll connect with an airport representative who helps with customs. From there, it's about an hour's drive to your hotel with your private driver. The rest of the day is yours to settle in and get comfortable.
- Day 2
Memphis, Saqqara, and Giza
This is a full day covering three major ancient sites. You'll start in Memphis, the ancient capital, then head to Saqqara to see the earliest Step Pyramid. After that, you'll see the iconic pyramids at Giza. It's a lot of Egyptian history packed into one day.

Egyptian Museum, Citadel, and Khan El Khalili Bazaar
Begin at the Egyptian Museum to understand more about Egyptian history. From there, you'll go to the Citadel of Salah El Din to see its medieval architecture. Later in the afternoon, you'll spend time at Khan El Khalili Bazaar to get a feel for how locals live and shop.

Aswan and Start of Nile Cruise
You'll fly to Aswan and board your Nile River Cruise, getting settled into your cabin. After that, there are shore excursions to the High Dam and Temple of Philae. In the late afternoon, take a traditional Felucca sailing boat out to Elephantine Island and relax in the Botanical Gardens.

Kom Ombo and Edfu
The cruise continues south along the Nile. At Kom Ombo, you'll have a shore excursion to the Greco-Roman Sobek Temple. Then you'll sail to Edfu where you'll see the Temple of Horus, which is one of the best-preserved ancient temples from that period.

Luxor and West Bank
Your cruise reaches Luxor, site of ancient Thebes and Egypt's capital during the New Kingdom. You'll disembark and explore the west bank's royal monuments including the Valley of the Kings, Valley of the Queens, Hatshepsut's Mortuary Temple, and the Colossi of Memnon.

Luxor East Bank and Return to Cairo
After breakfast on board, head to the east bank to explore two important temples. You'll see the Temples of Karnak, one of the largest ancient religious sites anywhere. Then you'll walk the two-kilometer Avenue of Sphinx to reach Luxor Temple. After your private guided tour, you'll catch your flight back to Cairo.

You'll fly to Amman, Jordan and meet your airport representative and private driver. Before checking in, you'll visit the ancient Roman ruins at Jerash to start experiencing Jordan's history right away.

King's Highway to Petra
Today you'll travel to Petra along the King's Highway, an ancient trade route. Along the way, you'll see views from Mount Nebo overlooking the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, Jericho, and Jerusalem. You'll stop to see Christian mosaics in Madaba and the impressive Crusader castle at Karak before reaching your Petra hotel.

Petra Exploration
Petra sits hidden in a mountain basin and deserves a full day. You'll enter through a canyon formed by a deep split in sandstone rock. As you pass through this narrow passage, you'll find a city carved entirely into rose-red rocks. After a 2-hour guided tour, you can explore on your own.

Return to Amman
After breakfast, you'll transfer back to Amman. When you arrive, visit the Amman Citadel to see buildings from the Roman, Byzantine, and Umayyad periods. After the tour, check into your hotel and have the rest of the day to explore on your own.
