Their efforts are very much appreciated. As a first time lone traveler, I was a little apprehensive, but I needn't have worried. The organisation was fantastic, whilst still being fluid to our needs. The interaction with the locals was incredibly warming, gracious and very special. The scenery was stunning in all directions at all times (even when it rained!). At times the hikes were challenging, but the guides were accommodating to the abilities of the group. Swimming in Theth and climbing Mt Harapit were two particular highlights for me. These experiences both challenged and inspired me. Thank you team for organising a great week.Show more

Asked on July 21st, 2025what is the latest time i can arrive in Tirana and depart from Tirana, i am not lookign to stay extra days and will be coming in only for this trek.
Zbulo - Discover AlbaniaOperator•Written July 2025On the starting day of the tour, July 26 the group departures from the airport to Shkodra at 15:00. If your flight arrives too late, there is an airport bus shuttle service from the airport to Shkodra which you can join and meet the group there, or we can arrange a private transfer for you at €80. On departing day, August 08, after breakfast the group will get transfer to the airport and is expected to arrive there around noon.

Traveler•Written July 2025I hope I can leave behind a small bag with travel clothes at Shkodra (i dont want to carry it along on the trek), I will pick it up on the last day on way back to airport. Is it possible to hire one walking pole for the trek.

Sure, you can store the extra luggage at the hotel in Shkodra. Unfortunately, we no longer can provide hiking poles for rent, but alternatively you may purchase them online and get them delivered to our office.

Would you be able to provide a transfer from the airport to the hotel, if yes, would that be part of the package, or would it be charged? If charged, could you please provide more details? I will also be arriving a day early, and would like to book an extension night. Also wanted to clarify the plan for the last day.

Due to our drivers busy schedule we are unable to cover short distance transfers. Alternatively there you may use the airport bus service which operates 24/7 the route between airport and center at every full hour. Tickets cost 400 ALL and the trip takes 30-45 minutes, or the official airport taxi charges a rate of ~2500 ALL. In Tirana we work with several 3* hotels, all located near the city center. A pre/post-departure nights would add €65/single room (breakfast included) and is to be paid in cash to the guide. On departure day, after the breakfast in Shkoder the group will head to the airport and is expected to be there around noon.

The single room supplement is applicable only on the city based hotels on D1 and D7 and it adds €65 in total for both nights. Up in the mountain, due to hosts limited capacities, single rooms are not available and you will share rooms with other members of the group (same sex).

There are a few direct buses from the airport to Shkodra, and more frequenty Tirana city to Shlodra. Alternatively, you may join our complimentary group transfer leaving the city at 14:00 and airport at 15:00 for free. Else there's also a private transfer option at €80.

Second half of June typically has warm temperatures, however a solid rain/windproof jacket is necessary and warm clothes are recommended during the nighttime. Kindly note that luggage transport up to 15 kg per person in soft bags (duffels, rucksacks) is included. You carry a daypack and we transfer your main luggage from one accommodation to the next. As this is partly by horse, flight/suitcases are unsuitable. You may also store additional luggage at the first hotel of the trip, but should not forget to retrieve it upon return from the mountains.
