- Day 1
Kathmandu
Land at Tribhuwan International Airport where your Oriental Journeys representative meets you for the transfer to your hotel. After settling in, you can either rest or drop by Himalayan Glacier's office if you're feeling up to it. Come evening, there's a welcome dinner where you'll get introduced to Nepalese cuisine.

- Day 2
Kathmandu
Rise early for a mountain flight with aerial views of Mt. Everest, Kanchenjunga, and the high Himalayas stretching toward the Tibetan Plateau. The afternoon brings visits to four UNESCO World Heritage Sites: Kathmandu Durbar Square with its ancient palaces, Pashupatinath Temple (one of Hinduism's holiest spots), Boudhanath Stupa, and Swayambhunath Stupa, also known as the Monkey Temple.

Pokhara to Ulleri
Head out on an early morning flight to Pokhara with Himalayan views from the airplane, then drive to Naya Pul to start trekking. Walk through sub-tropical valley forests and cliff-side trails, crossing the Modi Khola river via suspension bridge to Tikhedhunga village. The challenging Ulleri Hill climb with its thousands of steps takes most of the day, and you'll reach Ulleri by late afternoon for the night.

Ulleri to Ghorepani
After breakfast, ascend to Ghorepani village, whose name means 'horse-water' in Nepali and served historically as a trader campsite. The higher part of the village offers panoramic views of Annapurna South and Nilgiri mountains, and you'll notice the temperature dropping as elevation increases. Stay overnight in Ghorepani.

Poon Hill - Tadapani
Wake early and climb steep trails to Poon Hill viewpoint at 3,210m/10,529ft to catch the sunrise over more than 20 high mountains. After photos and hot drinks, return to Ghorepani for breakfast, then head east along a ridge and descend through rhododendron forests past waterfalls to reach Tadapani for the night.

Landmarks Poon Hill - Day 6
Tadapani to Ghandruk
Make a steep descent from Tadapani through old rhododendron forests that display red blooms seasonally, plus cherry blossoms on hillside slopes depending on timing. Trek through thick forest into Ghandruk, a village inhabited mostly by Gurung people with traditional stone houses. Visit the Gurung Museum to learn about local cultural traditions and enjoy views of Fishtail, Annapurna South, and Hiunchuli mountains.

- Day 7
Ghandruk to Pokhara
Trek downhill from Ghandruk all the way to Birethanti on stone-slab staircases winding through villages and terraced farms with continuous elevation loss. This is a substantial descent, so take your time. From Birethanti, it's about half an hour to Naya Pul where trekking ends, then drive back to Pokhara for the night.

- Day 8
Pokhara
Start early at Sarangkot hill for sunrise views over the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges with Pokhara city spreading below. Return to explore Davis Fall with its unique waterfall flowing into a canal, then head to Shiva Cave, take a boat ride on Phewa Lake to Barahi Temple, and visit the International Mountain Museum. If interested, also tour the Tibetan refugee camp to see carpet and handicraft production.

Pokhara to Chitwan
After breakfast, leave Pokhara and drive toward Chitwan at the foot of the Churia range, home to Chitwan National Park, Nepal's first national park and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Once there, take jungle walks through the park spotting diverse wildlife and birds. In the evening, attend a presentation covering the park's wildlife and vegetation. Stay overnight in Chitwan.

- Day 10
Chitwan
Early morning jeep safari through dense grasslands searching for deer, one-horn rhinoceros, and possibly Royal Bengal Tiger. After breakfast, visit elephant stables to bathe the elephants. Afternoon options include canoe rides on the Rapti River where you might see Gharial and Mugger Crocodiles, freshwater dolphins, otters, and water birds, or go birding and nature walking instead.

Landmarks Rapti River - Day 11
Chitwan to Kathmandu
Spend the early morning birding in Chitwan National Park, which hosts a large variety of resident and migratory birds. After breakfast, drive back toward Kathmandu, starting across Terai plains then moving onto winding mountain roads with beautiful hilly terrain and small villages. Arrive in Kathmandu by evening and celebrate with a farewell dinner.

Kathmandu
Your Oriental Journeys representative escorts you to the airport about 3 hours before your flight departure. You'll have plenty of time to reflect on your adventure and consider when you might return to Nepal.
