Itinerary
- Day 1
Marrakech to Imlil
You'll start with a transfer from Marrakech heading into the foothills toward Imlil. Once there, the trekking begins through the Imlil Valley, and you'll continue on into the Azzadene Valley. Mountain passes and waterfalls are part of the route, then you'll reach the mountain refuge for your first night sleeping at altitude.

Azzadene Valley to Toubkal Refuge
This is a harder day involving a climb out of the Azzadene Valley over the Aguelzim Mountain pass to get to the Toubkal Refuge. You'll have lunch partway up with views stretching across the Atlas Range. For the night, you'll stay in shared bunk accommodations at the refuge.

Mount Toubkal Climb to Imlil
An early start gets you on the mountain before dawn for the ascent of Mount Toubkal at 4,167m. From the summit you can see across the Atlas Range and out toward the Sahara Desert. After summiting, you head back down via the refuge and return to Imlil for the night in a more comfortable guest house.

Imlil to Dades Valley
Today you'll spend most of the day driving through the High Atlas with several stops to take in the mountain scenery and small Berber hamlets. You'll visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, then pass through Ouarzazate before continuing toward Dades Valley for the night.

Dades Gorges to Sahara Desert (Merzouga)
Driving from Dades Gorges, you'll head through villages toward the Sahara, passing through Tinjdad, Jorf, and Erfoud before reaching Merzouga. Once there, you'll get on a camel for a ride into the sand dunes, catching the sunset before heading to a traditional Berber nomad tent camp for the night.

Merzouga to Fes
You start early with another camel ride back to Merzouga, then grab breakfast and a shower. From there, you'll drive toward Fes, stopping to have tea with a nomadic family along the way. You'll pass through the High Atlas and stop in Midelt for lunch, then continue on to Fes where the tour ends.
