Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Cairo

    Your representative meets you at the airport exit with a sign and takes you to a private air-conditioned vehicle for the drive to your hotel. Check-in happens at 14:00, though if you arrive early, the hotel can sometimes arrange an earlier check-in for an extra fee. Your tour guide will call to confirm what time you'll meet tomorrow.

  2. Day 2

    Cairo

    After breakfast at the hotel, your personal guide takes you out to Giza Plateau for the full day. You'll see the Great Pyramid of Khufu, Khafre's pyramid, and Menkaure's pyramid along with their smaller companion pyramids, plus the Great Sphinx and Valley Temple. There's a photo stop where you can capture all three pyramids with Cairo in the background. Lunch happens at a local restaurant, then you head to the Egyptian Museum to see King Tutankhamen's treasures and over 250,000 ancient artifacts. By evening, your driver takes you to the train station for your overnight sleeper train to Aswan, with dinner on board.

  3. Day 3

    Aswan

    Breakfast comes as the train pulls into Aswan. Your representatives meet you and transfer you to your Nile cruise ship, which you board before lunch. The morning includes a stop at the High Dam, built between 1960 and 1970 to control the Nile's flooding and produce hydroelectric power. After that, you explore the Unfinished Obelisk, the largest known ancient obelisk that belonged to Queen Hatshepsut. Later, you sail by felucca (a traditional Egyptian sailboat) to Philae Temple on Agilkia Island, where temples dedicated to Isis and other monuments were relocated here from their original submerged island. You return to your hotel by evening.

  4. Day 4

    Luxor

    Breakfast at your hotel, then you head to Aswan train station for the journey to Luxor. Upon arrival, your guide meets you to explore the East Bank, starting with Karnak Temple, the largest temple complex ever built, spanning 247 acres with three main temples and numerous smaller ones. You cross to the West Bank to visit the Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari, built on three levels. Next, you enter the Valley of the Kings, where about 60 tombs from 1539 BC to 1075 BC are carved into the rock, including King Tutankhamen's famous tomb. You'll go inside 3 tombs during this part. Lunch happens during the tour. The day ends at the Colossi of Memnon, two massive statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III that have stood guard for 3,400 years.

    After breakfast, you get picked up by private air-conditioned car for the drive to Luxor Airport. You fly to Sharm El Sheikh, where representatives meet you at the airport and take you to your hotel for check-in.

  6. Day 6

    Sharm El Sheikh

    This is a free day after breakfast at your hotel. You can relax by the pool, enjoy the resort, or walk around the area and explore Sharm El Sheikh at your own pace. No organized activities are scheduled.

  • Payment information
    • For any tour departing before January 14th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after January 14th, 2026, a minimum payment of 30% is required to confirm your booking with Ancient Egypt Tours. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 40 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
