He has, with years of experience, created a once in a lifetime trip that covers everything you could want out of a group tour. This was my first time traveling and being the hyper organised person I am I researched and researched where I should go. I came across Feel Free Travel and booking with them was one of the best things I could have done! From the moment I found their website and sent my message to them, with a long list of questions, I felt supported and like I wasn’t bugging them with all my silly nervous questions. Receiving a quick response every time, even when Adam was on a night train in Thailand with another tour. I wanted to stay for a couple of extra nights at the end of my trip to relax and surf. Adam and Matt were great at booking my extra accommodation, sorting out my surf hire and making sure I would be able to get back to the airport. I touched down in Sri Lanka after a long 10 hour flight to have a txt message waiting for me on my phone. Adam rocked up within minutes of me being through baggage collection. Let the adventure begin... From the very beginning Sri Lanka was stunning! Green and lush and oh sooo warm! Being a redhead I was melting. Adam whisked me into a taxi, the bliss of air con, introducing me to another one of the guests and we got taken to our first nights accommodation. The next 10 days were a blur of amazing culture, incredible food, scenery to make you breathless, especially after the climb up, amazing people who made my trip so memorable, mini surprises that Adam has added to the tour to make it stand out from all the rest, Surfing with some amazing locals with Be Cool Surf Camp and all the while Adam seeming so calm and collected sorting everything out for us. The beauty of going on a tour like this is the ease that it brings with it. No stress of finding taxis, checking in, hauling bags everywhere, making sure you are on time to see everything, finding somewhere good to eat, making sure you have seen all the best bits of Sri Lanka. Everything is done for you all for a really reasonable price! I couldn’t have asked for a better experience for my first tour and I can’t wait to book my next one. Wouldn't be able to discover so much of Sri Lanka if its not with Feel Free Travel. We were really immersed into the culture with a good balance of adventure and beach time also. Adam had a lot of knowledge and the local guide Ian brought even more. Feel Free is not just about showing you places it truly makes you feel free just like you are travelling with your friends. There wasn't a day that I didn't like. I absolutely loved the train ride from Kandy to Ella, we took lots of photos of each other and enjoyed spectacular views. Adam made sure we all had fun despite not always feeling 100% or sick. Couple of surprises on the tour, who would guess we would see the president of Sri Lanka in Kandy, or been upgraded to a sea view suite in hotel in Weligama. Only gets better! the food... you will try some of the best meals in your life and local experiences that will make your heart warm. I loved our little bus, endless laughs, the music and the whole atmosphere. At the end of the tour we were just like one big family, caring for each other and planning to see each other again. On all of the tours generally, you will find there is a great mix of travellers either travelling solo or with a few of their friends/family member. However one of the best things about travelling on a tour as it really doesn't matter who you are travelling with as everyone will become one big family once the tour has started. You are also able to make that bond happen even earlier as Feel Free Travel create groups on their Facebook page closer to the time of the start date, so you can connect with others on the same trip before it even starts!

The amount of spending money that you will need while travelling on the trip is based on a number of different factors. But generally, we recommend that you bring no less than $400 - $500 spending money. Obviously, if you like to shop from sunrise to sunset or are the type of person to buy everyone in the group a Tequila shot at any given opportunity then you may need a little more.
It’s important to remember that all activities accommodation transport and a bunch of meals are included on all trips so the only things you need spending money for is extra meals drinks shopping and maybe a massage here and there!
Your Group Leader will assist you with anything you are unsure of when it comes to spending while you are here and they can assist you with ways to save your money if you are on a strict budget.
