- Day 1
Kathmandu
You'll arrive in Kathmandu and get transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to settle in and get a feel for the city at your own pace. Come evening, there's traditional cultural performances lined up during dinner, which gives you a nice introduction to local traditions.

Kathmandu
After breakfast, you'll join a guided tour hitting Kathmandu's main UNESCO sites. Start at Kathmandu Durbar Square to see the intricate Malla dynasty architecture, then head to Swayambhunath, the Monkey Temple perched on a hill. From there, move on to Pashupatinath Temple sitting along the Bagmati River, and finish with Bauddhanath Stupa, one of the largest in the world.

Bhaktapur - Nagarkot
You'll start in Patan Durbar Square exploring its historic art and architecture, then drive to Bhaktapur to see the Nyatapola Temple, Golden Gate, and the ornate 55-Window Palace. After checking out some local food specialties there, you'll head to Nagarkot village. Depending on what you prefer, catch either sunrise or sunset views of the Himalayan range from this vantage point.

Chitwan
You'll leave Nagarkot and travel to Chitwan National Park, a few hours' drive south. Once you arrive and settle into your accommodation, you'll get oriented with the park. The afternoon gives you time to start getting familiar with the diverse wildlife and vegetation you'll encounter over the next couple days.

Chitwan
Early morning starts with an elephant safari where you'll ride through grasslands looking for rhinos, tigers, and other wildlife. After that, you'll visit the elephant stables and actually help bathe the elephants in the river. In the afternoon, choose between a canoe ride on the Rapti River to spot crocodiles, dolphins, otters and water birds, or go bird watching or take a nature walk instead.

Chitwan to Kathmandu
You'll be out early for bird watching at the park to catch resident and migratory birds. After breakfast, it's time to head back to Kathmandu by vehicle, arriving mid to late morning or early afternoon depending on traffic.

Kathmandu Departure
Your tour ends today. A Himalayan Glacier representative will meet you and take you to the airport about 3 hours before your flight departs, giving you plenty of time to check in and get through security.
