Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Kilimanjaro to Moshi

You'll land at Kilimanjaro airport where your tour rep meets you. After getting to your hotel in Moshi, there's a pre-trek briefing in the evening where they'll go over all your equipment. If you need any additional gear, this is when you can rent it before turning in for the night.

    Included Activities

    • Hike briefing
  2. Day 2

    Machame Gate to Machame Camp

Following breakfast, you'll drive to Machame Gate and start hiking through the rainforest on a winding trail. The lower sections get slippery, so trekking poles and gaiters help here. After 5 to 6 hours of hiking, you'll reach Machame Camp sitting at 3,050 meters (10,000 feet).

Pato was a main part in making my killi hike such an incredible experience. He was not only caring and mindful in his hiking tips but he also shared great knowledge about the nature and history of the mountain. After 7 days Pato felt much more like an old friend than a guide. I wouldn’t have wanted to do the hike with any other guide!

My wife and I had an incredible experience with Patrick as our guide on Mount Kilimanjaro. From start to finish, Patrick was knowledgeable, energetic, and highly professional. His extensive knowledge of mountaineering and the local environment was truly impressive and reassuring. We felt completely safe in his presence as he expertly guided us through every step of the journey. Patrick’s leadership was evident as he motivated and supported us, making our dream of reaching the summit a reality. It was an unforgettable experience, and we couldn’t have asked for a better guide. Thank you, Patrick, for leading us to the top and making this journey a dream come true! Jelena & Nemanja

Hello yes, which date works for you?

    • Bucket List Group Travel LLCOperatorWritten August 2022

Hi yes, we can keep the start date the same for the trek and safari. Note for safari we will need a minimum of 4 members and if its less than 4 then we will let you know with the revised price as it will consider as a private tour.

      TravelerWritten September 2022

Mid January, we're flexible. Potentially it would be 4 for trek/beach/safari (possibly 5 now), 1 for trek/beach, 2 for beach/safari. We are looking for the beach start to align for all three groups, so it would have to be in the order listed above.

    • Bucket List Group Travel LLCOperatorWritten September 2022

Hello, we recommend working in the order given below: Trek followed by Safari and then Zanzibar (beach). The reason is you will fly into Kilimanjaro airport and then flyour from Zanzibar airport, otherwise there willbe back and forth between island flights.
