Itinerary
- Day 1
Lisbon to Fátima
You'll get picked up from your Lisbon hotel or meet at a central point to start exploring Portugal's spiritual and cultural highlights. The day takes you through several key stops starting with Óbidos, a medieval walled town where you can try the local bitter cherry liqueur. From there you'll head to Alcobača to see Portugal's first and largest Gothic church, then continue to Nazaré, a fishing village with character. Batalha comes next to check out its monastery before you finish the evening in Fátima attending the candlelit procession, which creates a really special atmosphere.

Fátima to Porto
After breakfast, you'll travel to Coimbra to visit one of the world's oldest universities and walk through its baroque library, plus stop by St. Clara Church. The route then takes you to Aveiro, which locals call the Venice of Portugal because of its canal system and traditional boats. You'll arrive in Porto by evening, giving you time to settle in and maybe grab dinner near the riverside.

Porto to Guimarães - Braga - Barcelos - Porto
Following breakfast, your guide takes you through Porto's historic riverside area with its old houses, palaces, and churches along the water. Then you head into the Minho region, known for producing green wine, before reaching Guimarães, the birthplace of Portugal's first king, where you can walk the medieval center and see the castle. Braga comes next with its cathedral and the Bom Jesus do Monte Sanctuary, followed by a stop in Barcelos to learn about local handicrafts and the famous Galo de Barcelos rooster. You return to Porto by late afternoon.

Porto
This day is yours to use however you like in Porto. You can stay relaxed at your hotel, wander the streets on your own, or take advantage of optional activities if you want to see more. It's a good chance to move at your own pace and find spots you're interested in.

Porto to Amarante - Vila Real - Lamego - Viseu - Urgeirica
Starting after breakfast, you'll head to Amarante, a charming town known for its romantic traditions and local market. Next stop is Vila Real to see the gardens of Mateus Manor, then the day continues through the demarcated Port Wine region where you can see the terraced vineyards climbing the hillsides. Lamego offers a stop beneath the Sanctuary of Nossa Senhora dos Remédios with local food to try, and then you move on to Viseu to see its cathedral before ending in Urgeirica for the night.

Urgeirica to Bussaco - Tomar - Lisbon
After breakfast, you visit Bussaco with its lush forest full of exotic trees, then travel to Tomar, a city with deep history connected to the Knights Templar. You'll see the castle and the Convent of Christ, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that blends different architectural styles in interesting ways. The drive back to Lisbon takes place in the late afternoon, getting you back to the city by evening.
