The animal sounds at night during the safari were haunting and beautiful but I felt perfectly safe because of the staff patrolling the premises. The meals were exceptional - beautiful fresh fruit and great variety. The overall hospitality at each location was friendly, considerate and downright joyful. Everyone ensured my trip was memorable. Trip date: February 2023 - TTrisha· September 4th, 2021I did not take the safari that this review says I took. I went to Masai Mara, Amboseli and Tsavo West. I booked my safari with CKC Tours & Travel. John was so good to work with. While planning my trip he answered all of my questions, responded quickly and was very helpful. He met me at the airport, took me to the hotel and made sure I got checked in okay. Masai Mara, Amboseli and Tsavo West were amazing, I was so fortunate so see so many animals. John booked excellent accommodations at all three locations, the rooms and food were very good, I was very pleased. The safari drives in Masai Mara were done by the guides there and they were excellent. The safari drives in Amboseli and Tsavo West were done by Simon who works for CKC Tours & Travel. He was also excellent. He knew all the wildlife including the birds, stopped every time I wanted to take a picture (and that was very often) or just watch the animals and was a great guide. At the end of my trip John took me to the airport. While I was there he made sure all of my needs were met and that I was happy. He was great to work with. He made planning my trip easy and made it so I had an amazing time while I was there and Simon made it so my safaris in Amboseli and Tsavo West were great. John answered my numerous questions, and the price compared favourably with other group safaris, so I chose CKC Tours. I joined a 3-day group safari in May. Our driver, Kikitu, was always cheerful and nice and great at finding wildlife, and generally informing us about the wildlife, history of the places we travelled through etc. The Masai Mara National Reserve is beautiful. We saw the Big Five all before 10 a.m. on the first full day there! And then many more animals. It's a long and bumpy journey from Nairobi, but well worth it. We choose CKC because of a very nice experience two years earlier when we visited Aberdares, Nakuru and Naivasha. This time again everything was nicely arranged for. John Muhoho is hands-on and joined driver Kennedy to pick us up on day 1 of our trip. The lodge (Il Kiliani camp) was excellent (it had a walking bridge to the reserve, amazing!) and Kennedy was a good guide and animal spotter: in twenty years of safari trips we only had had the chance to spot one leopard, now we saw two in two days.
