Itinerary
- Day 1
Cradle of Humankind to Sun City
You'll get picked up near O.R. Tambo Airport and head out to the Cradle of Humankind, where Maropeng takes you through 14 billion years of human history. The Tumulus building has interactive displays that walk you through different periods, and you can grab lunch at the on-site restaurant whenever you're hungry. After that, you'll visit Sterkfontein Caves to see the actual spots where those famous fossils were found. By evening, you'll settle in at Sun City Resort where you have unlimited access to Valley of Waves water park for the rest of the day.

Get an early start with a game drive through Pilanesberg Game Reserve, where you'll have chances to spot the Big 5 in their natural environment. The rest of your day opens up for exploring both Sun City and Lost City Resorts, which offer everything from family-friendly activities to high-energy adventures depending on what you're after. You'll spend another night at Sun City Resort with unlimited access to Valley of Waves, so you can head back there whenever you want.

Pilanesberg to O.R. Tambo Airport
Start your morning with another game drive through Pilanesberg Game Reserve, then drive toward Hartbeespoortdam and stop at Monate Citrus Cellar to sample some home-brewed mampoer spirits. You'll have time to walk through African arts and craft stores for shopping, and then choose between visiting the Voortrekker Monument or Union Buildings before heading back to O.R. Tambo Airport, depending on how much time remains in your day.
