I understand the company does not control who signs up, but having 12 out of 16 people people book together created a divide between the remaining solo travellers including myself. Otherwise the food, tour guide Jon and accomodation were outstanding. Would probably not book again however, would prefer to hire a car, stay in a hostel and meet other solo travellers organically. One person had booked themselves and 11 of their friends on the trip and completely took over everything (so 12 of 16 travellers were all together) I was expecting mostly other solo travellers but ended up on a group trip with people who all knew each other. Under30ExperiencesOperator•Written January 2023We do not include the ring road tour or blue lagoon in our trip. If you wanted to do either/both of these, you would need to arrange that on your own before or after our trip. As for the northern lights, since they are a weather occurrence, they are never guaranteed. Our guesthouse is located in the countryside away from lights so you'll be able to go outside every night to see if you can spot them. On this same note, since we are outside of major cities, we do not have official "northern light spotting" trips, so there's no need to have back-up plans. You can simply step outside of your guesthouse and look to the sky!

This tour is a good mix of activity and relaxation and includes moderate physical activities. You should expect to be active 3-4 hours most days and having an active lifestyle is helpful though not required to enjoy this amazing tour.
