Itinerary
- Day 1
Kathmandu to Nagarkot to Changunarayan
After breakfast, you'll drive to Nagarkot, which takes about an hour and a half and sits at a nice vantage point for views of the surrounding hills. From there, you'll start a 5-hour downhill hike that takes you through terraced farmland and small Tamang villages on the way down to Changunarayan. The trek itself is fairly easy since you're going downhill the whole time, and you'll pass through some beautiful agricultural landscapes. Once you reach Changunarayan, you can explore the temple complex, which happens to be Nepal's oldest Hindu temple and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After you've had time to look around, you'll grab lunch before heading back to Kathmandu for the evening.
