Itinerary
- Day 1
Cairo
You'll arrive at Cairo Airport and head to your hotel, then the rest of the day is yours to relax. If you're coming in early, there's an optional backstreets of Cairo tour at 10am that you can book in advance. At 7pm, you'll meet your guide and group for a welcome meeting.

- Day 2
Cairo
Head out to the Giza Plateau to see the Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx. You'll check out Cheops, the largest of the three great pyramids, which was built using over 2.5 million limestone blocks. Then it's on to Saqqara where you can walk through various tombs and temples, including Djoser's Step Pyramid that Imhotep constructed around 2700 BC. During the day, you'll also stop by a government-supervised Papyrus Museum.

- Day 3
Cairo to Aswan
Start your day at the Grand Egyptian Museum where a guide takes you through the galleries to see ancient artifacts and King Tutankhamun's treasures. Once you finish there, head back to your hotel and relax by the pool for the afternoon. Later, you'll board the overnight sleeper train heading to Aswan, so pack your things and get ready for the journey.

- Day 4
Aswan
You'll arrive in Aswan and take a leisurely boat trip to Agilika Island for a guided tour of Philae Temple, which was dedicated to the goddess Isis. Back in Aswan, you'll visit a perfume oil emporium, then check in to your 5-star cruise. The evening is yours to spend shopping in the colorful souks and markets or just relax while watching the sunset over the Nile.

Aswan to Kom Ombo
There's an optional early morning drive available to Abu Simbel if you want to see the famous rock-cut temple of King Ramses II. Your Nile Cruiser departs Aswan this afternoon, heading toward Kom Ombo. When you arrive, you'll disembark to visit the temple dedicated to Sobek, the crocodile-headed god, before getting back on the cruiser.

- Day 6
Kom Ombo to Luxor
Spend the morning relaxing aboard your Nile Cruiser. You can swim in the pool or hang out on deck while cruising the Nile toward Luxor. This ancient city is home to the Valley of the Kings and the Temple of Karnak. You'll arrive in Luxor this afternoon with the rest of the day free to explore before your final night on the cruiser.

- Day 7
Luxor
You'll disembark this morning and check into your 5-star Luxor hotel. The day is free to relax and explore at your own pace. Tonight, there's an optional visit available to the Temple of Luxor if you're interested.

- Day 8
Luxor to Cairo
Get an early start to beat the midday heat as you head to the Valley of the Kings. You'll see the Colossi of Memnon, two massive statues standing against a historic backdrop. Then explore the Valley of the Kings with its highly decorated tombs built for pharaohs, and the colonnaded Temple of Queen Hatshepsut. After lunch and rest time, you'll visit the colossal Temple of Karnak with its stone-columned Hypostyle Hall. Tonight, head back to Cairo by overnight sleeper train.

Cairo
You'll arrive in Cairo this morning. The rest of the day is free so you can relax by the pool or explore on your own. Consider visiting the famous Khan el Khalili bazaar to pick up souvenirs.

Cairo to Amman
Check out of your hotel and take your included transfer to Cairo Airport for your onward flight to Amman (flight is separate from the tour price). After arriving at Amman Airport, you'll get an included transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is free to relax or explore the city.


- Day 11
Amman to Petra
Tour the Amman Citadel and Archaeological Museum, then walk through the local souk to try typical Jordanian street food like falafel and hummus at a popular local stand. Head to Mount Nebo where Moses saw the Promised Land, with views of the Jordan River Valley, Dead Sea, Jericho, and the Judean hills. You'll visit Madaba to see the Church of St George, Madaba Archaeological Park, Apostles Church, and Madaba Museum. Continue on to Um ar-Rasas, a historic caravan stop with impressive mosaic floors and Byzantine ruins, before arriving in Petra. An optional Petra by Night excursion is available this evening.

Petra
Walk through the mysterious mile-long Siq, a narrow gorge with towering sandstone walls that opens into the ancient Nabatean capital. You'll explore the Khazneh (the temple from Indiana Jones), Theatre, Colonnaded Street, and Museum. After lunch, climb to ad-Deir, Petra's largest carved facade and the Monastery. This evening, you can join other travelers at Petra Kitchen for an optional cooking class where you'll help prepare a Jordanian feast.

Petra to Wadi Rum
You'll have the chance to return to Petra to visit the High Place of Sacrifice and Wadi Farasa. At lunch, stop at the Wadi Musa souk to grab shawarma sandwiches or fresh fruit and vegetable snacks from local vendors. Then it's a scenic drive to Wadi Rum for a jeep tour through the moonscape desert terrain. You'll arrive at a remote campsite deep in Wadi Rum and spend the evening under the brilliant desert stars with a traditional Jordanian dinner.

- Day 14
Wadi Rum to Dead Sea
After breakfast at the campsite, head north along the Desert Highway to visit Shobak Castle, which sits dramatically on a hilltop and was built by Crusader king Baldwin I in 1115. Explore the castle, then descend about 1,300 meters to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on Earth's surface. You'll drift and bob in the mineral-rich Dead Sea waters and apply the famous black mud. For April-October departures, there's a moderate two-hour trek along the Siq Trail at Wadi Mujib, a 500-meter-deep canyon spanning 4 kilometers with sheer rocky walls and sparkling waterways for swimming. Be ready for climbing ladders, scrambling across boulders, and wading through water when levels are high.

Dead Sea to Amman Airport
Check out of your hotel and take your included transfer to Amman Airport. Departure transfers are at fixed times only: 4:00am, 7:00am, 12:00pm, and 11:00pm. If you need a different time or want post-tour accommodation with a transfer, you can arrange that for an additional cost by asking ahead.
